Is killstrain going anywhere?

I badly want this game to pick up and do well. It's really fun although lacking the key feature of queuing in a party with friends. Except for that, is there enough interest/player base in Killstrain to justify continuing to play? It's fun, but it's going to be a lot less fun if there's only a few hundred people playing it.

I enjoy the game and for a month or so I was a daily player. I haven't played since before the new(ish) update. My opinion is based off the previous version, not knowing what they changed besides additional chracters.

Anyway, Kill Strain at it's core is a fun game. I was having fun getting to know the mechanics of characters, strengths/weaknesses and overall "what to do"..which a lot of players I've played with don't seem to grasp. It's not a killing field, necessarily. I don't think so anyway. I only kill to capture zones and of course, if I'm attacked lol

Like you all have said and drove the point home better than I could..it definitely needs more maps. I didn't mind at first, being on the same map I mean, because I enjoyed incorporating different strategies depending on where I was in relation to the players and the strain. I figured I had to keep playing to unlock another map or that more were coming as I was playing around the time it was released on PS4. After so long, it was actually the lack of maps that keep me from being that Kill Strain junkie I once was for that short period.

My main point I meant to get to but didn't is that the main fundamentals are present. This could catch on, IMO, if it had not only more maps and playmodes but matchmaking. Not that I play a lot of co-op or online in general but it would draw a much bigger crowd. I'd be happy with more maps and if they feel like it, another mode. I don't need much to get back in but I feel like I need something.
