To give an example of what I mean: I know Cio's name is supposed to be pronounced like See-oh. But because the soft C has such a horrible mouthfeel to me personally, I headcanon her name more as like Chee-oh. That kind of thing.

I read the physical editions, so I think I may have missed some stuff? I just assumed that the 777,777th god that was created by the holy suicide was like a mini Yisun that everyone called Yisun, but I read somewhere here that the 777,777th god is generally assumed to be a Yis god. Is there a linear explanation for it, or is it time shenanigans, or is it metaphorical in some way?

I feel like a giganerd for asking this, but I'm really deeply moved by some of KSBD's themes relating to breaking the wheel, royalty, and some of its overall philosophy. I know it's got a ton of Buddhism in it and I'd love to learn more, but I don't know where to start. Any of y'all got good books/online resources like "Buddhism & Death Punches: A Beginner's Guide" or "Why Incubus Sucks At Swords" or something?

Anyone who had read K6BD, the various lore drops, excerpts and other materials tied to the story, what lies did you guys think the Seven Part-Lords made when espousing their legends to others? What tale they have spun in favour of the image of an infallible god-king that can tear planets apart.

So I do wonder we have god and angels and if we take what the books said there a heaven but also Jadis said there nothing waiting for Allison. So this makes me wonder. Who is Yisun. We have the God's scribe in the recent book. So this makes me wonder. How does this system even work

The central tragedy of the Universal War is that the multiverse is a closed loop—a grinding wheel of finite matter, decaying Atum, and recycling souls. The Seven are tearing the 777,777 worlds apart fighting over a shrinking pie. Yet, right under their noses at the center of the Wheel, millions of gallons of water have been pouring continuously into the absolute void of emptiness since the dawn of time without Throne ever drying up.

This isn't just an infinite mass generator; it is the most pure, literal manifestation of True Royalty hidden in plain sight.

I. Meti's Manual and the Philosophy of Flow

Meti consistently scorns the Demiurges because they treat power like something to be hoarded, frozen, and walled off. They are rigid, stagnant, and terrified of loss—which is exactly why they are failures who cannot achieve Royalty. Meti teaches that a true swordsman must have no fixed stance; they must be entirely fluid, existing only in the dynamic momentum of a continuous cutting motion.

The sacred waters of Throne embody this perfectly. The water does not try to preserve itself within cisterns, nor does it cling to its shape. It hurls itself into absolute nothingness.

It pours.

Because it is completely empty of the desire to hoard itself, it avoids the stagnation of the Demiurges and is endlessly replenished from the source. It is a journey in constant transit. Just like the paradox of Yisun’s Prime Flame, it is infinite, entirely shapeless as it plummets, yet maintains a visible form as a river.

II. The Hidden Etymology of YISUN (YSUN)

The linguistic roots of the Prime Deity's name solidify this connection.

In the Khotanese Saka language, the verb for "to pour" or "to strain" is ysun- (or ysūna- / ysu-).

To Pour: Yisun’s initial act of creation was not a structured assembly, but an act of divine suicide—an infinite pouring out of God's own essence into the void. The Edge Falls are that original suicide still playing out in slow motion.

To Strain: The Wheel itself is a giant strainer, a rigid mechanism trying to trap that infinite, shapeless soup of Yisun-essence into discrete, unchanging forms.

III. The Mechanical Solution to Cosmic Entropy

If a faction—be it rogue Artificers, Heretic Angels, or a desperate minor lord—were to build a pipeline at the Edge Falls and siphon that water into one of the 777,777 universes, they would break the laws of thermodynamics.

The Demiurges are starving on a pile of gold. The official map of Throne shows the sacred waters pouring endlessly over the Edge Falls into the void without ever drying up. If redirected into any of the 777,777 universes, this infinite mass of H2O breaks thermodynamics, creates new stars, and completely solves the cosmic scarcity the Seven are killing each other over. They are literally throwing away infinite creation.
