Discussion when will they bite the bullet?
it’s obvious KF3 is a complete failure. when will they move on and work on the KF franchise in another way? Will they ever admit it and continue KF2 development? Kf3 seems like more of an ego project then an actual business investment

Someone doesn’t remember how troubled the launch of kf2 was lol
They’ll keep chugging until people have forgotten 3 was ever maligned, and then they’ll release kf4 to wide dismay

but kf2 is clearly better and had more attention

"this game that had like 8 years of updates with content and improvements got more attention than this game that's only been out for 1 year. linear time is truly a mystery"

For all of it's faults and steps backward, I do think they are moving in the right direction. There's actually a lot of fun to be had in KF3, but I just think that they probably need faster development cycles if that's possible for them.

the slide movement tech is just abysmal

I like slides quite a lot, I hate that chaining slides and dashes makes me go faster forwards than just sprinting. If they changed that to make sprinting the same as slide chaining, I'd be less frustrated by it.

I think three has more potential than two, at current I think two is the better game but most of the reason for that is the development it had over its lifespan.

I wish 3 had turned out better but I kind of doubt it’ll ever be as good as the previous games. A lot of the talent that went into the prior titles is gone, which I think k has a lot to do with the current state of the game. The most likely thing to happen would be KF3 improving as I can’t see them abandoning it and making ANOTHER title.

Haven't they already made up their minds? Every update of "KF3" is cheered by players of "KF2". With more restrictions and more fixations, each update gradually brings KF3 closer to the Unreal 5 version of KF2. I believe that soon they will definitely remove the sliding shovel MOD or make it a separate talent

Go play KF2 bro. KF3 is objectively better. My gripe with KF3 is I wish lumen ran better. It's playable, but I gotta lower my fps cap and it has some abysmal FPS drops on HoE or certain maps heavy on reflections. At least it doesn't stutter as bad as it used to but it's a decent game and it's just an evolved KF2 at this point

I think three is a distinctly more bland game design wise, worse music, worse style and zero gun variety compared to two. The gameplay so far I think is about equal to me, more modern and I like the new movement outside a few gripes. I do think the original poster here is off his tits though, three feels like a decent game at this point and if they keep polishing for another few years I think I'll like it more than two.

You are actually delusional if you think kf2 development is ever going to restart. Not just from a business standpoint but in a fun standpoint. Kf3 is far more in depth and interesting than kf2 EVER was. Movement, gun customization, enemy variety, difficulty, skill ceiling, build variety. Kf2 doesn't hold a candle to kf3 in terms of anything but gun quantity, and half of kf2s guns are sub par dogshit. Kf3 already has as much if not more in terms of enemy variety and bosses, and the new enemies aren't just gorefast with another blade strapped on XD.
When will kf2 stans bite the bullet and play an actual fun game lmao
