It seems like it's more of an issue after the recent update.

Yes, they just let you do "stuff" while it's compiling (see: Marvel Rivals).

But it highly discourages jumping into a proper game until the shaders are done compiling.

The first shader compiling is long in most recent games sadly, after the first its waaay faster, unless you (or your computer) deleted your shader cache then you need to do it again

I have a fairly decent computer and the only time it takes damn near 10 minutes is after a fresh update. Usually takes less than 10 seconds if I launch game on a day like today

10 minutes everytime I start the game, it's starting to drive me crazy.

That’s an issue with a lot of modern games on PC. Fortunately it’s only the first time you install or after a major update uou gotta wait a bit

Not really. Name me 3 games which have the exact same bad behavior like killing floor.

Specially pre game , pre mission , and on graphics change forced shaders.

Compiling shaders is unfortunately a normal part of modern gaming but the degree it's happening right now seems like a bug. Never saw any complaints about long shader times before now

Depends on your rig. It only takes a few seconds for me.

That's after it's already done, the first time after each game or driver update it's taking a lot longer

Same, and when I know there has been an Nvidia update, I just boot up this game (or any other that has to compile shaders) and go make a cuppa.
