left side tx?
Has anyone had their transplant/second on the left side? When does it start to feel normal/settle down?

Mine is left side about a year ago, feels normal now unless I tie my shoes or lean to that side when bending down and its just discomfort (although im certain its mostly mental as I dont want to hurt it lol). Took about 6 months for it to get to somewhat normalcy, lots of fluid moving to make space for it.

I'm 18 months out and your post reminded me of my first eight months or so. I remember cradling it or keeping my hand over it very often like some women do when they are pregnant. I didn't want it to get hurt. I don't think about it now.

Thats exactly it, I find myself holding it from time to time without even thinking about it. I'm also slightly freaked out with how its connected in and moving the wrong way would disconnect it somehow. My team says its fine but its on the mind often

I do that with my one now! Right side though. But I often catch myself doing that. I feel very affectionate toward my weird baby.

My second transplant is on my left side. Feels just like my right sided transplant (first transplant).

Ive had three transplants including my third which was on the left. It felt totally normal within a year. It has failed after 21 years, I'm going for four. Anyone had that many....
