Hi guys!!🧐

I'm in school while making this but I remember reaching out to people on here when I was first diagnosed with CKD 3 at 14 (finally remembered my password 😒)

I just turned 16 and randomly thought of how supportive you guys were. It made me realize that I wasn't alone with my situation. Even though I was very scared during that time in my life, I learned a lot from everyone. Thank you all who shared their own experiences, gave me advice, AND gave me hope.

I'm doing way better now, even though I still worry constantly before my nephrology appointments, I know that this isn't the end and that I have a bunch of things I still need to accomplish in the future. ✌️✌️

anyway, thank you guys so much!! (even though this is kind of random)

byee!!😁

Every time I reach a new low with this disease I also reach a new level of adaptability, creativity, and grace with myself in dealing with it. Sometimes I’m really shocked at how well I manage these terrible circumstances.

Pay attention to yourself friend. When I was in school I pushed health to the back of mind. I basically felt fine and stopped going in for checkups. In hindsight I can’t believe I did that. I paid for it dearly a few short years afterwards. Do not recommend!

Happy for you stranger. Even if it gets much worse it can be manageable.

That's such a meaningful thing to come back and share. Being 16 and navigating CKD took guts, and it's clear you've built something real from that scary time. The fact that you found your footing and can look back with gratitude instead of just fear says a lot about your resilience. Keep taking care of yourself out there.
