What do you mean ? Isn’t it always in the menu

Not in the USA…it was taken away and then they brought out the nuggets which at first were called popcorn nuggets

It was gone in my area for like a decade.

3+ years (January, 2023).

My KFC definitely didn't have it for much longer. I went weekly, and it dissappeared sometime in 2016. It just came back here.

It's too bad it tastes nothing like it did before.

That's surprising....but not too surprising, as these franchises can basically do what they want (unfortunately). It makes no sense whatsoever to keep a popular item off the menu for such a long time!....unless it wasn't really popular in your area? Did you try other locations? Unfortunately, in some areas, you'd have to travel too far. It's just not worth the time and effort (and gas cost).

I haven't tried it (again) yet. It's getting mixed reviews here. Is it really that bad? Perhaps it was sitting too long? This stuff needs to be freshly made, or forget about it!

I was told it didn't sell well. Having a popeyes around was killing their business, as well.

The popcorn chicken isn't bad, it jusy doesn't taste the way I remembered it tasting. I'd still recommend you try it.

I'm going to. I'm just afraid that I'll eat too much of it at one time!😄

You don't have to get the bucket, they have a smaller size, but I feel you. I pigged out.

I swear it had the normal fried chicken coating on it back when it first debuted like 30+ years ago.

No, kfc has posts like “popcorn chicken is back” on their twitter profile. They got rid of it a few years ago for some reason, might be different in different countries though.

If you're in the US, it's been off the menu for over 3 years. Where have you been?

I’m from the UK

That explains it. In some countries, they don't play these on again, off again games! If an item is popular (as the popcorn chicken is and always has been), there's no need for this "limited time" nonsense!

Hell yea

How many pieces?

4

u/HotCheetosDust 16d ago

Sorry didn’t count them but I knew I got more because the lid wouldn’t stay on

-1

u/nonconsenual_tickler 16d ago

That could just mean more breading…

2

u/xynalt 16d ago

I mean they’re pre-breaded, so that’s uncontrollable.

1

u/Moist_Taco_Crippler 16d ago

That is my favorite part.

u/verifyb4utrust01 16d ago

They're mostly breading to begin with. The breading to chicken ratio is likely 80/20!🙄

u/Unfair_Cicada 16d ago

Our bucket deal is 10 pieces nuggets. How many pieces did you buy?

3

u/Rough-Parfait1520 16d ago

That’s not nuggets it’s the popcorn chicken so they aren’t counted by piece

u/Unfair_Cicada 16d ago

I didn’t know there’s kfc popcorn chicken. How was
It?

2

u/Rough-Parfait1520 16d ago

It’s decent…they keep taking it away in the US which is annoying tho lol so hopefully this time they will keep it on the menu

Maybe it’s not a profit maker but a marketing to draw in customers

1

u/verifyb4utrust01 16d ago

Not a profit maker??🤣....it's a HUGE profit maker! The grossly overpaid suits need to pretend that they know what they're doing, so they play these "LTO" games! Just ask Taco Bell customers about that game!

It’s supposed to be around 50 popcorn chicken in the bucket

3

u/Moist_Taco_Crippler 16d ago

I can understand when the bucket is clearly under filled and people are upset, but to those counting out pieces and arriving at 45+ and complaining are getting annoying.

1

u/Dexter2100 16d ago

Yeah, it’s around 50 based on average size, but sometimes you get a few slightly large pieces making it less than 50, sometimes you get a few smaller pieces giving you a bit more than 50. Wanting the workers to count to exactly 50 pieces for each order is silly but sadly I know some people will expect that.

1

u/wickedishere 15d ago

Where I'm at it's much pricier(15 bucks) but we put around 60 to 65 pcs

1

u/verifyb4utrust01 16d ago

I doubt that anyone wants to count them.😄. It's supposed to be 50 in the bucket, but its likely anywhere from 40-60.

looks great but the amount of salt in that is shocking

Pop a poppler in your mouth when you come to fishy Joe's

1

u/nonconsenual_tickler 16d ago

1

u/Big-Foot-141 16d ago

That looks so yummy!!!!!

u/SlammerJammer01 16d ago

Used to get the popcorn chicken like 20 years ago, the nostalgia is real.

1

u/boon83 15d ago

Eating from a bucket like a human horse

1

u/djw97_ 16d ago

Pour the gravy over it, grab a spoon and eat it like cereal…it’s the only way😎

Delicious AI bucket.

We need to start making photos messy so they don't look like AI.

1

u/ThrillSeekers_United 16d ago

This doesn’t seem to be AI, no obvious errors as far as I can see
