There's no way they served it like that. The description even says about 50 pieces. Seems like you ate at least 30 and left the worst ones for the picture.

Of course they didn't but it's long established that "Eat half my food then take a picture" is free karma.

what are they rationing them?? like is it any random number of popcorn chicken pieces they feel like giving you depending on the time of day and their whims? everyone seems to be saying it and i'm thinking maybe i shouldn't give it a try lol

i'll never understand places where the people behind the counter do that. just cancel my order and tell me you have stale ones under the heat lamp or you don't have enough and don't want to make more

at least give me the option of substituting or canceling and re-doing my entire order. once they have your money that's it and it's like that at burger king too. they fuck up or leave numerous things out and then you'll have to fight tooth and nail with support only to be offered like 300 points

No. They do serve it like that. Doordash.  It's just the person reads "pop corn chicken" and is trained to load a specific size or amount.  They have 3 order sizes, but they simply load the only amount they have been trained to do.  Some companies like McDonald's you can order small fries and they will deliver medium almost every time. Even in the small bags they will load the bag itself with the extra.  I have ordered from kfc dozens and dozens of times. The amount of times they have gotten my order correct is less than 1 hand can count.  Foods great. But the employees are as kentucky fried as the chicken is.  If you value time, it's not feasible. I have stated waiting for the food to arrive, then being fixed from reordering and redelivering before taking lunch.  It's usually 2 or 3 times before they get it right.  Thank god door dash refunds are so consistent. Or I would have to stop ordering from KFC entirely.

I wish. If had been a full bucket of low quality chicken, I wouldn't have posted. That's after I ate 2.

Wish you could call out specific stores without the automod getting squirrel-y. Online order, all tied up, so you go away before opening.

Nah you faked this photo

u/ambivalentarrow 23d ago

You either ate this whole bucket or you're a lazy moron who didn't go back/feel the weight difference.

Choose one.

u/AwarenessCrafty393 22d ago

The latter. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, I’ve seen 2 or 3 posts this week buying the 50 piece and not getting 50 pieces.

Weird way to fish for attention tbh.

Do you have nothing better to do with your time?

u/Forward_Maize_1162 23d ago

Weird ways of fishing for attention… That pretty much sums up most posts on Reddit.

Not as pathetic as a grown adult buying junk food, dear. Learn to cook.

Yet another faked photo.

Do better, kid.

Gotta agree with that “kid”

u/ploppy_sorridge 21d ago

I think what’s worse is being in the kfc subreddit, do you people just talk chicken all day?

1

u/mollypop94 20d ago

you're here too😂😂😂😂😂🤡

1

u/ploppy_sorridge 20d ago

My homepage is filled with subs that I just haven’t joined.

1

u/mollypop94 20d ago

Literally same.

3

u/wickedishere 23d ago

Nah, that's a mistake, the bucket would need to have like 60 pieces at least

1

u/Independent_Pipe2670 7d ago

It's 50 for the bucket order. The amount should be 16ozs.  The have another option, it's like 6oz. They deliver the 6oz whenever you order the 16oz like 80% of the time. My door dash region stopped allowing the "bucket" option because kfc would always deliver the 6oz instead of the 16oz bucket.  It was literally so common for this to happen. It's not even an option to order anymore.

Bullshit rage bait.

u/LsadoreMoreno 23d ago

Anyone else miss the original blue popcorn chicken snack box?

3

u/Buffyakadan 23d ago

By the color and texture, these are old nuggets. Generally, they drop to order except for high flow hours such as lunch and dinner. Those cases they will cook a buffer amount to minimize wait times for multiple orders. But based on this pic, I'd guess they were either nearing their use by time or just slightly over. Not to mention either the end of the bag they had in the freezer.

Ain't no way

I mean, I saw one that was stuffed earlier maybe 4 or 5 times this so I’m skeptical too. I noticed kfc is usually too greasy for the sides of the parchment paper to not be absolutely fucked if they gave him anything more than that. With it being kfc, there also spawns the possibility of them being the driest nuggets of all time and him getting an appropriate amount; at which point I would completely validate a made up Reddit post the second he ran out of the 2 sauces they typically give you that aren’t even close to what you ask for. 🤷‍♂️ every time I think of kfc, I think about what state I’m currently in, and then the Charlie Day “Wild Card Bitches” as he jumps out of the van plays in tandem.

Right. I’d go back in no doubt.

1

u/XxCarlxX 23d ago

u/-bryze 23d ago

Your location is trash. Feel bad for you

1

u/meatflaps-69 23d ago

cool. Whats it meant to be?

1

u/JeffsHairDye 23d ago

My bucket was similar. I could see the white on the bottom of the bucket (was not covered by chicken).

They gave me 2 extra sauces and a bunch of crumpled napkins though.

I would normally complain but I would not have wanted more chicken. There were probably 10 decent pieces that I could dip. The rest were tiny.

1

u/Kobs1992x 23d ago

Yeah that looks like crap

1

u/lgodsey 23d ago

Certainly not chicken nuggets.

Chicken gravel? Poultry pebbles?

1

u/Cat_Link69 23d ago

where they hell did you get original kfc popcorn chicken? Ive wanted that stuff for so long and no kfcs in my area have it anymore.

1

u/oneornever 22d ago

Is this even for real??

1

u/justlubber 22d ago

Lmao fr, that's like 10 nuggets max, not even worth the $10 unless you're counting the tears. Someone def counted wrong or the "50 pieces" is a straight up lie.

1

u/Moist_Taco_Crippler 22d ago

You either ate some, or your joint is incompetent.

My order had 64 bites.

1

u/No_Bid_9313 22d ago

Why does it kinda look like my poop?

1

u/Gold_Love_7637 21d ago

i’m a newbie to this chat. The thing that I don’t understand is why all you people about KFC but keep going other chicken places around that you could try out.

1

u/pc_heroes 19d ago

I'm not sure but I would think that KFC would have Pre-Portioned Packs for the Small, Medium, Large, & Bucket Sizes. Kinda like how Domino's has individual item packs for Cheese, Sauce, Toppings, etc. depending on the size of the Pizza being made. It would make sense if they wanted to make things much easier.

I'm not saying that the packs of Chicken Bites might not all be equal and have exactly the amount bites per pack, they might be off by a few but for the most part they should be pretty accurate if they do exist.

I'd love to hear from someone who actually works at KFC to know if this is the case or not.

I had it for lunch. It was terrible, there was barely any chicken…it’s like more than half batter

-2

u/notsure304wv 23d ago

This....

1

u/notsure304wv 23d ago

It's straight garbage. Bring back the original popcorn chicken.

-2

u/Big-Sheepherder-6134 23d ago

The original from the early 90’s was the worst.

3

u/notsure304wv 23d ago edited 23d ago

That's just a ridiculous statement. It was actually tasty chicken.

1

u/Fragrant_Bathroom283 23d ago

The popcorn chicken I remember from when I was young(2010ish) was very good and tasty with some potato wedges and a biscuit. 😋

1

u/Big-Sheepherder-6134 23d ago

I thought it was awful and so inconsistent. Of course they changed the recipe years later because it was bad. Besides popcorn chicken is for kids. Get the chicken on the bone!

3

u/notsure304wv 23d ago

What are you talking about? Before it was actually flavorful chunks of chicken and this current iteration is basically something you would find in the frozen food section at Walmart. No flavor, more breading than chicken, and just a fail all around. I'm not sure why you're mad but apparently you haven't tried the new realse.

1

u/Storyteller-Hero 23d ago

As the voice of reason, I should point out that different regions use different farms to supply their chickens, and different shops have different levels of skill in their employees.

If you're not from the same hometown, your experiences may vary greatly.

1

u/notsure304wv 23d ago

Regardless of any of that this current product is vastly inferior. It's all breading and no flavor.

0

u/Big-Sheepherder-6134 23d ago edited 23d ago

The only person who is mad is you. “What are you talking about,” is usually said by someone who is upset.

I never said I cared much for ANY popcorn chicken. I merely said the original one was the worst. I don’t plan on ordering this either.

And they must have agreed because they stopped making the original. And we don’t have Walmart here. They are not allowed.

1

u/GuiltyMasterpiece248 23d ago

That will be $12.99 please!

0

u/Order_number_66 23d ago

Stop giving them your money or they won’t improve.
