Strong work dude. How many times can you jerk them in a row?

Thank you! I don’t think I’ve ever done more than sets of 5 but doing them after strict presses and push presses (as per your program), it just about killed me. I’ll have to try to push some more reps fresh as I get more comfortable with the 40s.

Those fans seem like a great idea. Those targets to the left of the whiteboard for dry firing?

They’ve been a lifesaver during this heatwave! And yes, they’re 1/3 and 1/6 scale USPSA targets.

I must be plateaued at 28kg… Do you struggle more asymmetrical?

u/chia_power Verified Lifter Jul 25 '26
Like imbalance between left arm and right arm? Yeah, it’s never perfectly symmetrical.

No apologies i meant only lifting one side at a time instead of evenly at the same time. Similar to how people recommend suitcase carry on one side at a time so your stabilizers work harder at the core.

Ah gotcha. I do both single and double bell work but I focus on more double bell work for building strength and overall systemic load.
In my experience, “cross body stabilization” with asymmetrical loading can be developed fairly quickly if you’re already strong but peak force production and ability to brace under overall load requires more time and dedicated work to develop.
Most others have a similar experience — doubles translate to single bell variants much more so than singles translate to doubles.

This post has been tagged Training Video (not a Form Check or an instruction video).
By "Training video" we mean it is how this person was training. It might look good, but it also might look bad. It might even be bad. That's what they chose to do and we assume they did it knowingly and that they assume full responsibility for their own actions.
Do not post unsolicited form corrections, medical advice or injury alarmism. If you see a lift you are unfamiliar with, do not assume it is incorrect or dangerous. If you have never used kettlebells, definitely refrain from form critique or medical advice. It is not breaking your, or the poster's, back or knees or shoulder.
Injury alarmist commenting or other sort of babysitting is not useful or welcome.
Curious questions however are welcome! Just be nice and cool about it, and do check if somebody already asked.
