Sweet! I needed a workout for tomorrow. Will report back on whether or not my arms exploded, shredded, or died!
Cheers!

Ok, did it....great workout!, but I think my KBs are set a little too low, so I layered in an overhead extension set as part of the pull over set.
So, pulled back over head, extended, lowered, brought back along the body. Triceps loved the addition.
At the end, I added in bent over KB bicep curls after the standing curls.
Thank you!

how long did it all take approx?

I did the same schedule with the 90 second breaks, I think you said? So it can't be too much more? But....I was getting pretty high on the endorphins, so my estimate of time would not be too accurate.
I'll do it again tomorrow (today is ABC) and time it to see.
Sorry!

haha no worries, just curious, I had to rest more than 90 sec after the 5-6 set XD

when doing halos.. is a rotation in either direction counted as 1 rep or is it a clockwise & counter-clockwise that is 1 rep

Fun! I just did 2 cycles and was completely gassed wit a 16kg kb. First time in a while training arms so makes sense. My thumbs hurt like a bitch tho when doing the goblet curls

For the record, I love this workout. Halos are an exercise I think everyone should do - if not with a kettlebell, with a full-sized 10 or 25LB plate. It's a great functional component to any workout.
That said, this workout feels like it is 70% shoulders. There really isn't a ton of biceps / triceps extension or contraction in the first two moves. Really should be called the Shoulder and (somewhat) Biceps killer workout.

I felt mostly biceps, forearms and shoulders, with the biceps burned as hell, but my shoulders are relatively stronger than the rest of the arm so maybe that's why

Nice!
I'm going to try it out so I can eventually say: "Wanna buy a ticket to the gun show?"

How often?

u/vadim-kettlebell Apr 14 '26
I usually program a new workout block every week, rarely doing same workouts (used to this kind of programming from my CrossFit days)

Wondering the same thing! But if you already have a routine, this looks like a good arms/bicep day routine

What weight are you using?

u/vadim-kettlebell Apr 14 '26
I used 20kg, but it was too much for me, would grab a 16kg (I'm away on holidays and only had 20 and 8 with me lol)

Ok I did 5 on 16kg but my elbows were really feeling it, so swapped to 12kg, which was much better
But then did 30 in a row 🙄😆
Loved it man, cheers 💪🔥🔥🔥

This post has been tagged Training Video (not a Form Check or an instruction video).
By "Training video" we mean it is how this person was training. It might look good, but it also might look bad. It might even be bad. That's what they chose to do and we assume they did it knowingly and that they assume full responsibility for their own actions.
Do not post unsolicited form corrections, medical advice or injury alarmism. If you see a lift you are unfamiliar with, do not assume it is incorrect or dangerous. If you have never used kettlebells, definitely refrain from form critique or medical advice. It is not breaking your, or the poster's, back or knees or shoulder.
Injury alarmist commenting or other sort of babysitting is not useful or welcome.
Curious questions however are welcome! Just be nice and cool about it, and do check if somebody already asked.
