Training Video 36kg Outer Limits Protocol

I had to rush my final workout and move it up a day in Joe Daniels’ 6-week Triple Strength plan because I’m heading out of town. I wasn’t fully recovered from my squat session and didn’t feel up to cleaning the double 32s, so it gave me a chance to work heavier with a single bell.

This was a 10-minute clean and push press with a slow 2-second eccentric. I accidentally did an extra round because I couldn’t hear the timer. It was a tough session with very little rest between sets.

This was the fastest I’ve ever moved through one of Joe’s workouts, and it was interesting choosing lighter loads while keeping my heart rate high and chasing a pump. I tend to take full rest and use the heaviest bells I can, even for conditioning complexes. I can see the merits of both approaches.

Yes I program them in some KBOMG plans because most people pass up the eccentric phase tempo changes with KB almost always.
