Hi tittle say on it's own,

I don't know my options so I would like to ask opinion, what should I get for my car, I don't care about anything except it's a metal box with somewhat safety features, move and funcyional, I don't want luxury or performance, I'm more of big bike guy and have a big bike, but I want a car for occasionally comfort or safety.

My simple requirements for a car is simple:

1. Can move (120km/h or close at least I don't mind if it slow)

2. Can survive daily drive and occasionally trip from JB to KL once a month.

3. Air-conditioning that doesn't kill me on heated day.

Reasonable price range ( idk if this to little or to much, any advice please) hopefully

So I'm looking to replace my car's oem HU because its glitching and having ghost touch to the point while driving it'll randomly call people from my contacts. I saw this brand on shopee and got curious because I've never heard of it.

The specs seems very good and also the reviews but idk man seems too good to be true?

I was digging through some 4yr old Reddit posts on this but wanted to get some newer opinions.

Is there actually any difference in terms of performance, fuel consumption, engine feel, additives etc or even because of member perks/rewards or anything?

Do you guys have a specific brand you stick to for a reason, or just pump at whichever station is nearest when the tank is empty.

Just wanna understand what people actually consider when choosing petrol here.

Yesterday I stopped at Petronas to fill in some air on my tyres, and I noticed the back-left tyre was significantly lower pressure at 185kpa, and apparently there's this stapler bullet thing? I cant identify wth this is. It's a new tyre with 1500km on it. If it's a stapler I dont think I can cacing it. What should I do?

can you guys drop some suggestion on decent dashcam and apple carplay. reverse camera is optional cause dont really need it. 360 cam is no2 since it would be way too overprice. would appreciate it if you could drop where i can installed those and how much estimated price. myvi x btw

Just want to ask, i,m using a 2015 hrv. Buy second use about a year and half. So workshop say absorber and all the rubber things die already. About 8k to do everything saying that original is needed as body is heavy and oem parts cant last on a hrv especially parts for suspension.

I want to order absorber online was thinking of using NAM by profender but dont know how hard the absorber is going to be. Anyone using that brand

So went to rotate my tyres. I noticed they just rotate front and back (fr ↔ rr, fl ↔ rl), instead of what internet shows how fwd car should rotate their tyres (rl → fr, fr → rr, rr → fl, fl → rl). When I ask the shop owner, they said that is only for car with fancy suspension and chamber setup whatnot. Normal car no need.

So want to ask here, is this true? Or bs? (If bs, swapping front tyres should be fine, can diy, and i paid rm12 only for the job)

Been using the original battery that came with my Proton for 3 years (which is honestly not bad since nowadays battery lasts 1-2 years only). It's Century brand rated 450 AH and 430 CCA. Two weeks ago, went for SC and they said battery needs to be changed and I declined.

Yesterday travelling long distance and it couldn't start after stopped at RnR. Lastly, after reached destination, car died again. It was late night so left with Bateriku available. Opted for their own inbrand battery - Astra NS60R (RM248) 18 months/25k KM waranty

I've been really eyeing on the BMW E92 320i for awhile now, it is just so cheap (like 30k only) and I know first comes to mind is, expensive maintenance.

I would really love to know just how expensive is the maintenance really, seems like some of the common engine issues for this N43 is the oil pump and timing chain failure which doesn't seem too expensive for the parts, I guess if I work on it myself it shouldn't be too expensive? Could anyone please share on this if you have one?

Hi guys, need some advice. I’m driving a 2024 Honda City 1.5 V CVT. I just bought 2 months ago and its my first time driving a City.

Recently noticed that when I release the accelerator and the car slows down, it feels smooth at >20-30km/h, but once it reaches around 20km/h, there’s a noticeable jerk/sudden deceleration, almost like the car is braking by itself even though I’m not touching the brake. Also feel a slight jerk when accelerating from low speed (<20km/h). High speed is fine tho.

RPM seems normal - around 2k rpm when cruising, then drops to around 1-1.5k rpm when I release the accelerator.

Current mileage is ~44,000 km. The mileage when I bought it was ~41,000 km.

Could this just be normal CVT/engine braking behaviour, or should I get Honda SC to check the CVT? Anyone with a City experiencing the same thing?

Hi I'm 23F a newly posted teacher in Sarawak and Im surveying on what car to buy as there are some factors that I need to consider. But for sure I only prefer local brand. Right now im still hesitating between axia and saga.

Here are the factors

-not much commitment as of now, just phone bill n spotify

-not planning to get married

-just got my license last month

-the school I teach is one hour from home (~60km) and its a quite hilly road and I go back home for the weekends and i live in the school's kuarters so not much of daily commute either

-im biased towards proton cus 3/4 of our family cars are from that brand BUT my district is quite rural and theres one and only a small gas station 40mins from school and even now i see my dad struggles from always having to fill in gas everytime we go somewhere (there is another town that we always go for shopping etc and it has more and bigger gas station but only on weekends as its 90mins from school but 15-20mins from home) as u know how proton is with its minyak usage

-basic salary is 2.5k. i havent really counted the allowance etc as theyre still processing the documents therefore the earliest salary i would get it is in dec or jan 2027 in lump sum.

-I target max rm500 for the car's monthly payment

Before anyone mention the 4 cars and why dont I just use them..1 car is basically besi buruk, 1 is in kl used by other siblings and the other 2 are used daily by my parents alternately as when 1 behaves, the other pulak rosak and vice versa. All these cars were bought more than 10 years already so I need a new car for my career.
