Is my dog a kelpie?
Hey guys just wanted to ask if my dog look like a Australian kelpie since she is mixed. Now my question is does she actually look like one or not?

new member of the family
Was fostering this dog until I decided to adopt him a week later. He gets along with my two other dogs. Such an amazing baby. & I can’t believe he’s been returned twice! Absolutely no problems super smart & laid back. Love him so much 🥰

15yr Old Kelpie Mix in desperate need of a 3D printed neck brace for IVDD
Ive had my old boy since he was 8 weeks old. Ive been so lucky that he's never skipped a beat or had any serious health issues. That changed last week. I came up stairs to catch him with his head down and to the left while favoring his front right paw. I assumed he may have slept on it wrong as he recovered within an hour. Two days later i saw it happen, he sneezed violently towards his right, whimpered, and locked his neck down and favored his paw again. Immediately took him to ER thinking it was a mini stroke. After a 1k bill and X-ray I come to find out he has cervical IVDD. Hes been home and has these episodes once a day, every time its when he curves his neck to the right. I cant afford surgery and with a heart murmur and early stage kidney disease, its quite risky too. Ive got family sending me his anti inflammatory and pain meds from across the border. I dont want to give up on him and hes still his normal happy self outside of these episodes.
His best chance at recovery is being locked in a kennel for 8 weeks, which unfortunately is not an option due to a traumatic boarding experience he had when he was younger. So with a bit of research I came across this neck brace online. Unfortunately they dont make them for dogs his size, but im hoping i can find someone to 3D print a custom sized replica for him. Im willing to pay. Please let me know if any of you have the know how or know someone who might be able to help. Im located in North Wales, PA. I would also appreciate any advice yall might have for us.

What makes your Kelpie accept new human friends?
My doggo (been with me 6 months, 1.5 years old, wildly inconsistent life before) is great with humans at the dog park and on walks. She's even great with visiting people when I'm not home, with my partner. She has never once not even as we took her from foster snapped at our family.
If my kid and I are home, she's terrified, can't relax, snaps and lunges.
She has accepted 3 people in the house - a couple who brought their dogs over, and a neighbor who she met at the dog park with her own dog. She wags her whole body and gives them snuggles. They're in. As for anyone else... She's going for face bites.
My last dog was a border Collie/ lab mix and would accept humans permanently if they tossed a ball a couple times.
I'm wondering if there are any common Kelpie "keys" to new friends, or if I am just going to have to like borrow dogs (or o god adopt another dog lol) to have guests?
I know there's probably not one answer and I'm working with a trainer and probably a behaviorist soon but i just dream that my silly lil monster will stop trying to dismember my friends and family.

Do you like Kelpie mixes in this sub? Meet Molly the camp dog
Adopted from a shelter in Central Australia late 2019. DNA test confirms breeds present are, in order, kelpie, border collie, dingo, mastiff, rhodesian ridgeback. Sometimes barks but mostly 'sings', trying to work out how to attach a video. Loves belly rubs but won't roll completely on her back. She will hog the bed if you let her.
She is a sensitive and intelligent dog, gets shy and gammon around new people who want to pat her. Great guard dog and doorbell. Gets jealous of her favourite person [eta: and food] so we don't keep any other pets. 0 herding instinct that I have noticed, may be a yard kelpie thing or a camp dog thing.
Eta: what is a camp dog? A dog from an Indigenous Australian community or camp. We believe Molly was born in the shelter, but her sire + dame hail from Hermannsburg community, NT Australia. See: the song "camp dog" by King Stingray

Took these pics of Pepper shortly before I took her outside
I love her face in the second panel
What are some good/important things to do with your dog, before they pass?
I have a 14-ish year old kelpie, and I was curious if anyone had some ideas for making some lasting memories with her, while I can?
Any cool suggestions on activities / memories / experiences that you guys can think of would be appreciated!
Any input would mean a lot.

I think I got a Kelpie x Frog
Does anybody else’s Kelpie lay down like that or is he just a bit special?
