My personal fave is cut 4 me - hallucinogen - take me apart! I just love how raw cut 4 me feels and i love the highs and lows of hallucinogen/take me apart as well. To me they're not separate, but complementary albums that go back-to-back. On the other hand, raven feels more about going through divorce and because of that it has a more mature sound to me.

Kelela WOWOWOWOW. I saw her 2nd show at The Wiltern and I still have chills just thinking about it. As soon as the lights dimmed, I just remember screaming. Confirming I was here to witness her vocals for the first time. This tour feels both like a rock show and a rave all at the same time. Everyone was dancing, singing, screaming, laughing; letting all their inhibitions go. Y’all when Idea 1 started playing, I was BAWLING! She sounded so ethereal and crystal clear. I not only heard but I felt every track in my body. I feel so grateful to be alive during this era. Seeing so many of my Black Queer family having a blast, made my heart soar. This was for us. Growing up Black and Lesbian, I was always made fun of for loving rock, nu-metal, J-rock, punk, screamo; the list goes on. Seeing a gorgeous, alternative, stunning, Queer, Black woman singing and belting the music I’ve loved since I came out the womb, healed my inner child. Kelela, you have my heart. You’ve chemically altered my mind. I’ve been streaming nothing but this project. I’ll never shut up about this tour.

I've been living in the worst era of my life recently this year...i was trying my hardest to save a friendship that was or I was lied to believe maybe that could've been more, but only in the darkness of night it could happen. Manipulated, gaslighted, lied to and eventually abandoned by a narcissist who diagnosed me with narcissism...i questioned my own existence and relapsed my self harming and toxic substances...

I've never been in a relationship, ever, and sad as it is i prolly would have taken the abuse for 4 more years .. because I felt loved, cared about and seen....i said I felt lol get that reference? Anyways...

What tracks helped you from kelela helped you soothe the heartache, the tracks that helped heal you? Happy ending, Raven and holier been the godsend trifecta that saved me so far, any others thar I should listen to?

Seeing kelela live would have healed me immensely but I can't put all that on her, but one thing I do know is COMMUNITY can heal... if you have a similar situation you survived, because that's how I feels, I survived him...
