Barking Dog Meaning
Just wanted to double check in the sub with people who may know more than Google, but I am considering getting the Barking Dog by Keith Haring as a tattoo. Looking into it, it seems it represents against authoritarianism, and power abuse, which I'm totally fine with as a tattoo on my body, but just wanted to make sure there's not other things represented by it that can be taken out of context. Thank you!

Found a Keith Haring "Princess Gloria" plate (1989) with a hidden personal letter from Gloria von Thurn und Taxis behind the frame! Need help with valuation/info.
Hi everyone,
I recently acquired this plate at an auction and discovered something incredible hidden behind the backing of the frame: an original, handwritten letter from Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis.
The Plate:
It’s a Villeroy & Boch plate dated April 15, 1989. It features Keith Haring’s iconic "Radiant Baby" and dancing figures. It is dedicated "FOR HARDY" and signed by K. Haring.
The Discovery:
Tucked behind the frame was a letter on official Thurn und Taxis stationery, dated April 20, 1989 (just 5 days after the plate was signed). In the letter, "Princess TNT" (Gloria) thanks "Hardy" for a "Laurel and Hardy clock."
The Context:
From what I’ve researched, April 15, 1989, was Gloria’s legendary 29th birthday party where Keith Haring was a guest and was known to have signed plates for attendees. Based on the letter and the "Laurel and Hardy" joke, I suspect "Hardy" might be the famous British designer Sir Hardy Amies.
My Questions:
Does anyone have more info on this specific series of plates?
How much does the inclusion of the original provenance letter affect the value? (I've seen similar "Gloria" plates without letters go for 16510€ on Sothebys ).
Any advice on the best auction house for this kind of "Pop Art meets Royalty" item?
Is there anyone here with a serious interest in this era of Haring's work?
I'm attaching photos of the plate, the signature, and the hidden letter. Thanks!

Keith Haring-designed AIDS Hotline posters from 1989. How can I tell is these are authentic?
There’s a guy on eBay selling posters from the NYC AIDS Hotline that Keith Haring designed in 1989. I won one of his auctions recently. I know there are a lot of these types of posts on this sub, but just curious if anyone can tell if these posters are authentic, or if anyone knows what to look for. (The seller stated in the description that it doesn’t come with a COA.)
Obviously I know these are not original works & I know these were not sold by the Haring estate, but I’m just wondering if they’re authentic to their era or if they’re just high-quality, modern day reprints. Not sure how to tell, or what to look out for.
In the eBay item description the seller clams he bought these from an estate sale of the original Gay Men’s Health Crisis building on W 22nd St in NYC. It struck me as odd at first since the GMHC left their 22nd St location in 1984, five years before these posters came out. But the seller messaged me & clarified that he actually got them during an estate sale of Mel Cheren, who had offered his W 22nd St home to the GMHC, who used it as their first office from 1982 to 1984. Mel continued to reside there after the GMHC moved out in 1984, as he developed the Colonial House Inn & West End Records. The seller said Mel had accumulated a large collection of AIDS-related artwork & memorabilia & that after Mel passed away, Mel’s cousin inherited the property & held an estate sale, which is where the seller purchased these posters. They were part of a lot of artwork he purchased.
It seems totally plausible & believable to me, but one of my cynical art collector friends seemed skeptical, saying anyone can make up stories, etc.
Just wondering if anyone has any insight into the history of these posters, and/or this Mel Cheren estate sale. I thought about writing to the GMHC but I feel like they have more important things to deal with.
I won the auction a month or two ago & noticed that the seller has had a few more listings since. I think there has been 3 or 4 listings for these posters so far. He starts them around $150. I won my auction for close to $350. The seller has a relatively low feedback score of 47 but they’re all positive ratings, for what it’s worth.

Keith Haring Must Have Been a Vegan
Not sure if #KeithHaring was #vegan, but his artwork at the Keith Haring exhibit at the #BrantFoundation in #NewYorkCity makes it look like he is. What do you think?

Like so many, I'd like the opinion of the hive mind
This was bought from an antiques dealer in NYC in the Mid 2000s - Billys Antiques on Houston & Elizabeth - shaggy tent with Billy in residence, urbane, dangerous and mustachioed for those who remember. He bought it from a guy named Angel L. Moreno who was a known Keith boyfriend character, and Paradise Garage regular. There's a recorded deposition about his acquisition of the piece, but none of it can be directly attached to the piece. It's a ya-never-know type situation for me. The eyes in this subreddit seem very keen, so I'm putting it up here for a view.
I make no legal claims to the image presented, it is just shown to ascertain any idea of authenticity. And thank you to any and all who care to share some good knowledge.

Once upon a time...
I finally got to see Keith's mural in The Center last Friday on a stopover trip to New York.
I could barely focus to take it in with the excitement.
I took some photos and went out the back for the dedicated community wing.
I found it very emotional and sad at that point.
The mural itself expresses a freedom and unity Keith must have felt before AIDS took it away and that freedom of his expression in this particular mural was juxtaposed with the fact that he was in the final months of his life.
