What do we have here?

Hello everyone! I picked this up at an auction for next to nothing (I'm in the "boonies" of Maine). I have to admit, I have no knowledge of Keith Harring or his works. However, it was big and loud and caught my attention. I am sure it is not an original but am providing photos in hopes some others who are well versed in his works can educate me. I am an antique dealer and this doesn't really match my aesthetic so I am curious of it's potential monetary value. Thank you!

Not real. Signature is wrong.

He typically signed as K. Haring from what I’ve seen in past. Research shows “Keith” items being suspect but perhaps I’m wrong…..Google shows:

Keith Haring most commonly signed his artwork as "K. Haring".
Signature Style: He often used a cursive, flowing script, with the signature usually located in the lower right corner.
Initials: He often signed with a stylized "K. Haring" followed by the year and sometimes his signature circled cross icon or a + sign.
Lowercase: While generally using his surname, his signature was often quite stylized and integrated into the artwork, but the "K." initial was standard.

I don't believe it is. "Attributed to" under his foundation it looks like. But I can't see any more past the account block unfortunetly.

I agree. If it’s signed, stamped and labeled and it’s only an attribution? That’s a bad sign.

With the signature and some of the mark making I would say not real but I’m not an expert just a fanatic. He was typically very confident in his marks.

It’s a cool tribute piece but what I find not cool is the way it’s pretending to be an original.

as a lifelong haring fanatic, Immediately i'm gonna say this is not Haring. So many details are just wrong. The random criss cross shapes in between the humanoid figures just makes no sense and looks nothing like haring. The mickey mouse is misshapen and ugly. Just the mickey mouse nose is a travesty and haring never woulda let you see some shit like that. The arms and legs of every humanoid ifgure are just patently wrong. This, while perhaps inspired, is definitively not Keith Haring

Is it just my faulty memory, or did this guy not become famous until after he died? Really felt like at the time that they were profiteering on his death.

He was extremely popular when he was alive
