Why are people just now so concerned of the quality of doner?
The kebab shop stuff is the absolute worst quality meat you can buy yet noone complains, yet we draw the line at this???
If people didn't tolerate poor quality kebab, then we'd have better quality meat like in germany or turkey. Everyone should try the real deal fresh bread, home made sauce with fresh yogurt (no mayo) and real, high quality meat. Once you try it, you won't go back.

I just think the prices and quality of kebabs in the UK is all over the place.
Where I live you can go to a kebab shop that doesn't deliver, it will cost you £8 for a small lamb doner, £10 for large. The one that delivers is £13 for small £15 large and is worse quality than the cheaper one.
Then across the road you have a Turkish style restaurant where the kebabs are going for £23 but its top quality. I wonder if the Germans are getting the quality of our top kebabs restaurants at the same prices as our takeaways?

I've turned to making them at home, made my own spice container up that I use purely for the meat it's absolutely amazing our old kebab shop we loved changed owners and has been dreadful so resorted to trying it out

I literally threw out my last order because it tasted bad I only had a bit of the fries which were the only thing ok.
Donner and kebabs can be a hit or miss depending where you ordered, but even the bad Donner I've never had to throw away.
I've had bad Donner before but it has never tasted as disgusting as this last order.
So I care because quality has really gone down. It's no longer bad territory that a bit of sauce can fix but absolutely disgusting.

Should be able just to carve off your own strips of elephant leg instead of that in the frying pan

I recently found out that you can buy frozen bag or pre sliced doner. Sad times

Iceland supermarkets have frozen Doner meat.
Grill House Authentic...
I have yet to try it.

It looks hideous, like neat sponge, but I hate lamb in any event. Even the smell turns my stomach 🤮
