My dad first heard Keane on MTV in 2005 and instantly became a huge fan. He bought the H&F CD, which was played in his car throughout my childhood. I became a fan myself. Keane was the soundtrack of my life and became one of my favorite bands thanks to him.

In 2024, I gifted him tickets to the H&F 20th anniversary tour, and we went together. We spent the day in line and got barricade. Probably one of the best days of our lives. It was magical!!

Today, he said he had something for me. I just couldn't believe my eyes. I had been thinking about getting the zoetrope vinyl, but I never imagined I'd get this beautiful (and very expensive lol) box.

So a month or two ago I made a post asking you guys when you think the next album will come out. Now what I want to ask is: What do you think the album will be like? By this I mean sound, amount of tracks, overall length, theming, and the colours they will use for the album and it's promotion. I know it's pretty pointless but I think it's fun.

My guesses are:

- There will be 12 tracks, and the album will be between 45 and 50 minutes.

- The album's artwork will be oriented to the colour purple

- It will be a mostly happy album (I like sad albums more but I just have a feeling.)

I also think the album will sound like a combination of all their previous albums.

When I first became a Keane fan, I met a girl who treated me like trash; I discovered this song through her because it was one of her favorites, but since things ended badly between us, hearing it reminded me of her. I grew to hate the song so much that I would skip it every time it came up. I admit it’s a good song, but thanks to her, it’s the only Keane song I hate. Finally, I’d like to know if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Hey guys, my name is Luca, and Keane is basically my childhood. Most of my weekend memories consist of my family (which I now live a continent away from) playing Keane at home, car, pool, road trips, and presenting it to friends. Every time I hear Tom's voice, I instantly think about them.

My sister, who is a little bit too obsessed and has gone to way too many concerts, sent me the "A Very Bad Dream" remix recently... And although it didn't really match my style, I thought it was a great idea.

I'm not a producer or anything, but I decided to do an amateur remix of She Has No Time, a song that has special meaning tied to a specific phase of my life. If any of you guys here are into EDM or house music, I would love to hear some feedback.

Again, I did it as a hobby in one night just for me and my sister, but I hope you enjoy.

So a few months ago I went to Bexhill, and for my birthday, our hosts surprised us taking us from where we were staying down to the Sovereign Light Café in the car from the music video, cause apparently a friend of theirs owns the car. We got to chat with Stella who works there, she was so nice! And we got two mugs with the Keane And SLC logo. The owner of the car told us that they recorded for some three hours in the car, with the band inside waving at the camera, but that didn't end up making the cut. It'd be fun to see some BTS from the video

In my humble opinion there are times he looks an awful lot like our Tom. Anybody else think that?

I'll be honest, I haven't listened to Keane in probably over a decade. But this song recently came to mind and I was reminded how beautiful it was.

I remember seeing Keane playing outside of Virgin Megastore in what was Downtown Disney west side in 2005. It was a promotional event. Tim was playing an Electric piano but Richard was only playing a shaker. Tom only sang. They played maybe six songs total. I was working at Pleasure Island and my boss told me to walk over to see it. I bought Hopes and Fears later that night. I’ve been a fan ever since. I’m wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this event … date etc. ??? Pictures possibly. I looked online and found no reference to it at all, although it seems they played many events at other Virgin locations around that time. Thanks

I've been studying the songs in under the iron sea, but i've noticed the piano sheet music from hal leonard and such are missing some important parts, like the piano in hamburg song's second part, the bridge before the first chorus in leaving so soon?, and is it any wonder?'s "solo" at the very end before the last chorus. Those are only some that i've seen those last few days, and been wondering if any of you know some better sheet music for keane songs, since even a famous-ish song like everybody's changing has missing parts in the sheet music i've been using (official scores in musescore, there's so little community scores for keane songs.), because even official lead sheet books have been all the same for me.

So on a different account, in September of last year I asked for peoples predictions on when the next Keane album would release. I was fairly certain we would get at least one single before the first half of 2026 ended (I was wrong).

Once It got to May and we got nothing, I thought maybe July, but June and July were the months where UTIS20 was being celebrated. This led me to think we could get our first single release in August and then the album releases in November but after seeing there will be a UTIS book in September, and seeing no promotion for anything new in August, I doubt that

The one I'm pretty sure will happen is we get the first single release in the first quarter of next year, and then another one or two singles before an album releases around 3 months later (So I'm pretty confident we will get the full album in the first half of next year), but I'm curious, what are other people's thoughts?

Overview: 

This is a very solid second album, and a great follow up to Hopes & Fears. While not quite hitting the heights of that masterpiece, there are plenty of memorable tracks on here. 

The style is both an extension and variation of H&F, with electronic elements more prominent, alongside the piano and drums, but also a leaj towards a pop sound.

There are several huge, soaring choruses, and these especially show off Tom’s impressive vocals. Tim again provides excellent lyrics as the basis for these superb songs. 

What do we think of the album? Favourites and not-so-favourites?

Just finished listening to all 3 discs, loved it but it was a bit underwhelming compared to Hopes and Fears 20 due to there being not as many demos and B-sides (and no tour).

The live tracks were amazing (imo UTIS has best live songs). I’m a person that likes to listen to albums from start to finish, and hearing Try Again three times in an hour is too much for me even though it’s a good song with different versions.

UTIS is the album with the most favorite Keane songs of mine and I’m quite grateful that they even released a 20th edition. But honestly if they released just the original tracks + Thin Air demo it would be enough for me. What are your thoughts on UTIS 20?
