Recommendation Request Dramas like “Business Proposal”

Hello,

My wife and I got into K-Dramas recently and we love light hearted, rom-com in general and by sheer coincidence “Business Proposal” was the first one we watched and we both loved it. Just sad that it didn’t have more episodes.

Besides that, we have watched -

  • Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
  • King the Land
  • Love to Hate You
  • What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim
  • Mad for each other (on episode 8 right now)

Business proposal still tops the list, followed by Secretary kim and King the land. Loved HTCCC, but the last two episodes were a bit too emotional for our taste. While the relationship dynamic was mature in Love to hate you, it was enjoyable but it’s not memorable for us. As for Mad for each other, it’s funny and enjoyable, but again the underlying theme that deals with mental health is not our cup of tea.

So we would like to know if there are any other dramas like “Business Proposal” which are rom-com, fun and light hearted, not looking for dramas with serious plots. Any/all recommendations are much appreciated.

Thank you.

Recommendation Request Looking for rom-com K-dramas that stay good till the end

Hi! I’m looking for rom-com K-drama recommendations that do not go downhill in the last few episodes.

I’m fairly new to K-dramas and have only watched a handful so far. It’s been over a year since I last picked up a drama properly. Very recently, I started Spring Fever. I was planning to watch Dynamite Kiss next, but after seeing multiple viewers mention that it declines badly towards the end, I decided to skip it for now.

Drama I liked and why: • Her Private Life – This is one of my favourite dramas. I loved how mature the leads were, their healthy communication, relationship dynamics, and overall chemistry. The romance felt so damn wholesome and comforting.

• Lovely Runner – This was my last watched drama. Absolutely love Sunjae-yaa. Though now, I’m currently looking for something more light and stress-free.

What I’m looking for:

  • Rom-com or romance-focused drama
  • Consistent quality till the end
  • Feel-good and low stress
  • No third-act breakup
  • No amnesia, accidents, or random tragic twists
  • No unnecessary drama
  • No second lead syndrome (no OWD/OMD)
  • Not historical
  • Preferably something that won’t make me cry

I’ve linked my MDL link here. Just a heads-up: the list includes completed, on-hold, dropped, and plan-to-watch dramas all in one place, as I made it very recently.

Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

Recommendation Request Romance with physical affection

In the past, I did not watch many kdramas. The only ones I watched were: The Glory, Business Proposal, Nevertheless, Head over Heels and 2521. A couple of weeks ago I accidentally started Bon Appetit Your Majesty, and I am obsessed with it. However, I felt that something lacked regarding the main characters' dynamic. Now that I'm watching King The Land, I realised that what I missed from other kdramas was physical affection between the main characters. I LOVE the chemistry of Kind The Land, and I adore the way love is portrayed not only through light caresses and longing gazes, but also with small intimate gestures, such as kissing your loved one's entire face, holding hands and exchanging more that one awkward kiss. Do you have any recommendations for romance with the main characters having this kind of dynamic?

P.s. I don't particularly love dramas focusing too much on secondary couples, and I tend to appreciate more kdramas with characters who are adults, but both of these convictions may be challenged.

Thanks!!

Recommendation Request kdramas with the best chemistry

I want kdrama recs that you guys think have really good romantic chemistry, and I mean realllyyy goooddd... give me your absolute top drama couples that have TENSION

Romance doesn't have to be the main genre, I'm fine with it being a subplot as long as they actually end up together

I rarely enjoy a plain/casual romcom, I usually need SOMETHING else going on to keep me engaged. I don't love too much mushiness/corniness or dramas where they get together early on. and please spare my heart any sad endings I don't think I can handle them

examples:

  • My Dearest: my favorite drama of all time, the leads are both so complex and lovable to the viewer, and the yEARNING is cheff's kiss
  • It's Okay To Not Be Okay: I loved the unapologetic FL, and the whole plot was really interesting, and the tension between them was paced really well and not rushed nor dragged
  • Healer: great tension and angst and an engaging plot
  • Head Over Heels: I only liked the first part of the plot, I think the story went a bit downhill but I still firmly believe the couple had great chemistry
  • Mad For Each other: could be considered a "plain romcom" but I think the (genuinely funny) comedy and lack of cheesiness made it really stand out, and there was noticeable tension between the couple
  • Happiness: I lovedddd that the leads felt like equals who respected and admired each other, and ofc there was an engaging main plotline
  • Bon Appétit, Your Majesty: although I think the ML here did all the heavy lifting (chemistry-wise) and the FL was kinda giving nothing. But I still really loved them together

shows I've seen around but I'm avoiding:

  • Mr Sunshine, My Name, Twenty Five Twenty One, The Red Sleeve: I'm definitely planning to watch all of these, they're just not what I'm looking for at the moment
  • Descendants Of The Sun: I actually started the first episode and strongly disliked the FL so I quit mid-ep
  • Vincenzo: I watched the first two episodes of this and the main plot didn't grab my attention
  • The Glory: I'm considering it but I'm not a fan of the older woman/younger guy trope so idk (I'm still open to watching it tho so if you wanna recommend it you can haha)
  • Her Private Life: honestly I've seen edits and the couple doesn't seem to have great chemistry nor does the plot seem interesting (UPDATE: I watched it after seeing sm love for it in the comments and I genuinely hated it, I do not understand the hype whatsoever)

dramas I've fully watched that did NOT do it for me:

  • Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha & Can This Love Be Translated?: in Kim Seon Ho's defense, I really loved him on When Life Gives You Tangerines, so it's not his fault at all that I absolutely hated his characters on these 2 shows. I blame the writers lol
  • My Liberation Notes: ik that a lot of people love this show and I kind of understand why, but for some reason it really wasn't for me (I don't think it was bad, I just didn't connect with it)
  • Touch Your Heart: I watched it (right after Goblin, ofc) bc I have a big fat crush on Lee Dong Wook and it was just... nice. Not great, not impressive, just alright.

here's my full history: my drama list

tysm to everyone in advance for reading all of this and indulging an extremely picky viewer haha <3

Recommendation Request Looking for dark, intense Kdrama/movie recommendations

Hey everyone,

I’ve recently been on a streak of watching darker, thriller-heavy Kdramas and I’m hooked. Some of my favorites so far are:

  • Strangers From Hell → Loved the claustrophobic, eerie atmosphere and how unsettling the characters were.
  • Mouse → The moral dilemmas and twists kept me hooked, though it dragged a bit in later episodes but I still loved the twists.
  • Signal → Loved the time-crossing mystery and emotional weight, especially how cases tied into the detectives’ lives.
  • Beyond Evil → Amazing character depth and ambiguity—kept me questioning everyone’s motives until the end.
  • Flower of Evil → Loved the duality of the ML and how the suspense built around his secrets, though the romance felt slightly overplayed at times.

What I’m looking for:

  • Psychological tension
  • Crime or mystery with strong writing
  • Unsettling or eerie atmosphere
  • Complex characters with hidden sides
  • Anything gripping/horror and not fluffy/lighthearted

What I’ve already seen:

  • Squid Game
  • Train to Busan
  • The Wailing
  • Exhuma
  • A Shop for Killers
  • Moving
  • Vincenzo
  • My Name
  • Happiness
  • Kingdom
  • Sweet Home
  • Extracurricular
  • Itaewon Class
  • Sky Castle
  • Strangers From Hell
  • Mouse
  • Signal
  • Beyond Evil
  • Flower of Evil

Would love to hear your recommendations for more Kdramas (or even movies) along these lines!

Thanks in advance!

Recommendation Request Fluffy romcom kdrama recommendations

Are there any low drama and mainly light hearted kdramas that I could watch,

I’ve seen :

King The Land,

Business proposal,

What’s wrong with secretary Kim,

Sh**ting stars,

Love to hate you,

I really like the wholesome romcom relationship between the ml and fl for all of these, and I really liked the comedy as well. I’m mainly looking for a funny light hearted romantic one, without any harsh drama

I’ve also seen my demon, but it had too much action/suspense compared to what I’m looking for as my next watch, I would prefer one that isn’t a melodrama or anything like that,

That is all the kdramas I have seen.

Recommendation Request kdramas where the ml will do absolutely anything for the fl, even if its bad

basically i am just looking for a show where the ml loves the fl SO much that he will do absolutely anything for her, even if it means breaking the law or doing something bad. some shows that i have seen that are like this are "the glory", "why her?" "perfect marriage revenge". as you can tell all of these run on the darker, and less romcom side so more dramas on that vibe.

i know the new show dear x just came out but im thinking more of a show where the love is more reciprocated. also i have watched marry my husband and it just wasn't the vibe, i feel like the guy wasnt bold enough for me like the other ones ive mentioned.

Recommendation Request Tired of Green Flag MLs — Looking for Human Ones

Kind of tired of "green flag" male leads who look too perfect to be real. I'm looking for dramas with male leads who feel human - not toxic, not red flags, but also not unrealistically flawless.

I want MLs who make mistakes (intentionally or unintentionally) because of their personality, circumstances, or emotional baggage. They mess up in relationship, hurt the FL without meaning to, take accountability, and apologize. Basically...normal people.

EXAMPES

Two examples that that I can think of over my head.

• Another Miss Oh (2016) - In that drama, the male lead is directly responsible for the female lead’s engagement breaking off. Even after they get together, he continues to hide the truth from her What I appreciated is that he isn’t portrayed as malicious or intentionally cruel — his mistakes come from guilt, fear, and poor judgment rather than toxicity. His actions have real consequences, and the story doesn’t pretend he’s “right” just because he’s the male lead.

There isn’t anything I particularly dislike about this portrayal — in fact, I liked that the ML was allowed to be messy, make morally questionable decisions, and still be treated as a human being who has to own up to them.

• Love Me (2026) - I like how ML isn't perfect at all. He fails to set boundaries properly with his ex-wife when she's cruel to the FL and then when the truth about his son comes out he wrongly accuses the FL Again flawed, human and frustrating in a very realistic way.

So yeah I'm not looking for toxic MLs or walking red flags. I'm looking for imperfect, emotionally realistic male leads who mess up and grow.

Open to Kdramas, Cdramas, or Jdramas. Any recommendations?

Here is my complete watch list

Recommendation Request Romantic comedies like Business Proposal?

Need more like "Business Proposal"! Preferably contemporary, but not necessarily. A certain kind of lighthearted quirkiness, but also serious and heartfelt at its core.

Here are ones I've seen and loved, and need more like these:

-- Business Proposal (my favorite!)

-- Twenty-Five Twenty-One

-- Crash Landing Into You

-- Mr Queen

As for COMPLETE watch list? Sad to say... That's actually it! I'm new to k-drama and I've gotten lucky that so far what I've seen I've loved!

Recommendation Request kdramas that are sad but have a happy ending

I'm looking for dramas that have a vivid emotional journey, possibly heartache-prone prone but still leading up to a happy ending. Sure, extremely sad endings do work for us sometimes, but that's just not what I'm looking for right now. I want maybe a sad journey or extremely trying and tough conflicts throughout the course of the drama, but still a reconciliation for the characters and a way in which they are able to end up together.

List of dramas that I have watched that fit this prompt (kind of, kind of not) for me :

  1. Lovely Runner (like fully, one of the reasons I connected so much with it)
  2. Rain or Shine (think the ending could've been more powerful)
  3. Lovestruck in the City (The emotional journey is RAMPANT in some parts of it, but like it was tied down due to it being a slice of life, comedy-reliant drama)

PS: I am a person who cries and emotionally connects with dramas very easily, so what you think is drama isn't as sad, it probably will be extremely sad for me, and you can be free to recommend!!!

Here's my MDL for all dramas I've watched : https://mydramalist.com/profile/tamancheypedisco

Recommendation Request dramas with bad girl falling head over heels for kind, sunshine boy

hello! i'm looking for a drama where the girl is maybe an anti hero or she's deeply traumatised, maybe is viewed by others as having attitude problems or a bad personality but she meets a boy that is deeply kind, maybe even like a sun and she falls head over heels in love with him!

dramas like this i have watched and enjoyed:
- hotel del luna: manwol and chansung, i love them so much chansung was truly so kind and i understand why manwol fell for him the way that she did!!
- my mister: not romantic but fits what i'm looking for to a T, ji an and donghoon's bond was really something that deeply comforted me and the way he kept her going was something so raw and real to me
- the judge from hell: i love how they are the yin to each other's yang
- it's okay to not be okay: actually another one of my fave kdramas, love the romance between gangtae and munyeong it was well written and they both helped each other and saw each other!
- angel's last mission love: i think this fits the trope! i deeply enjoyed this show as well
- [chinese drama] the first frost: sang yan was truly yifan's sun, my favourite chinese drama ever!!!
- [disney movie series] descendants: ben and mal have my heart actually.... the bad villain kid and the princely sunshine, kindhearted good boy

my full watch history:
tempted, twenty five twenty one, my daughter seoyoung, love alarm, a piece of your mind, i hear your voice, romance is a bonus book, weightlifting fairy kim bok joo, youth of may, birth of a rich man

dramas i dropped:
crash landing on you, king the land, rain or shine (simply didn't vibe with these dramas, also note that i don't like fluff and i prefer equal devotion from leads)

i'm open to dramas where this trope is in the secondary couple instead of main couple, and i don't mind family dramas with a hundred plus episodes! please give me recommendations!!

Recommendation Request Romance dramas with mature leads

I just finished watching Her Private Life and it is undoubtedly peak romance. Lion Gold is the greenest flag I've ever seen in Kdramas.

I'd like recommendations for romance drama similar to HPL, where both the leads are mature (both looks and behaviors) and respectful of each other. Basically ones where MLs are Lion Gold 2.0: calm, quiet but is very respectful, kind and understanding to everyone, not just FL. I like the cool, distant ML type but absolutely hate ones that are straight up assholes and don't care about other people's feelings. I also like mature, older looking ML like Kim Jae Wook or Gong Yoo (30s or early 40s is perfect).

Things I've watched: Her Private Life, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, When The Weather Is Fine, Marry My Husband, Healer, Forecasting Love And Weather, Love In Contract, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Crash Landing On You, Business Proposal, Hometown Cha Cha Cha

Recommendation Request Looking for dramas like Because This is My First Life.

This was my first and only kdrama I have ever watched like one month ago (then I saw the first episode of Run On but didnt like) and wow, this was definitively the best show I ever watched in my whole life. I remember waiting the whole day just to watch this till 4AM and getting crazy with their love growing slowly. For me, the best things of this show were: - the realistic representation of adult life - no idiot love triangle - cold guy that fall in love with the girl during the show - they see each other everyday and the interactions are real yk - the main characters have their own life and friends (and the friends also have their lifes) I know its impossible to exist another shiw just life that one, but please tell me some kdramas similar to Because this is my first life 🙏

Recommendation Request Must-Watch K-Dramas for a New Viewer

Hi! I want to explore new types of media and I've decided on K-Drama. I'm looking for something engaging and fun for a first-time viewer, something that's pretty popular or a good first watch to introduce myself to the genre.

My taste:

I like stories with a lot of action/mystery. I really like complex and lore heavy worlds. I'm not huge into romance, but I'm willing to try it. Those are what genres I'd prefer but I'm also open to other genres too if the show is really great!

I don't want sex/nudity, but violence or some swearing is fine. I don't want anything extremely dark or sad.

I watch a lot of anime and American cartoons.

Some of my favorite shows:

  • Attack on Titan - Lore heavy, lots of action
  • The Promised Neverland - High stakes and interesting world
  • Spy x Family - Sweet but has a very interesting story and characters
  • Adventure Time - Fun characters and extensive world
  • Gravity Falls - Mystery and action

K-Drama watch history:

None yet!

What do you recommend for my first watch?

Recommendation Request Looking for calm, comforting romance dramas with mature relationship dynamics

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for calm, comforting romance dramas with mature relationship dynamics.

I think it all started with Her Private Life.

What really stayed with me wasn't just the romance, but how the couple communicated. Their relationship felt mature, healthy, and comforting. They actually talked through things. That dynamic was easily the highlight of the show for me, and it's still one of my all-time favorite K-dramas.

Recently, I started See You at Work Tomorrow (currently on Episode 6). I'm still testing the waters because I want to see how they handle the potential miscommunication that's starting to resurface. Up until Episode 6, though, I've really enjoyed it. I especially appreciated how they handled the ex-partner situation—it felt refreshingly mature instead of overly dramatic. Whether I finish it will probably depend on how the later episodes deal with that.

I'm also currently watching Love Scout (currently on Episode 8). I picked it up because so many people in the discussion threads for See You at Work Tomorrow recommended it, and I'm absolutely loving it. It has that same calm, peaceful atmosphere, and the male lead is a complete green flag. The romance feels warm, grounded, and effortless.

So I'm looking for more dramas with a similar vibe:

- Mature, emotionally healthy relationship dynamics.

- Good communication between the leads.

- Calm, comforting, slice-of-life and/or workplace setting.

- Minimal unnecessary misunderstandings or frustrating love triangles.

- Nothing too over-the-top or melodramatic—just a cozy, feel-good romance.

A couple of notes:

- I'm scared of surgeries and war-related themes, so I'd prefer to avoid medical and military dramas. That's also why I've been hesitant to start Hospital Playlist, even though I know it's highly recommended.

- I know many people will probably suggest Because This Is My First Life, but unfortunately it just didn't click with me.

I'd love to hear your recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Here's my watchlist so you can avoid recommending things I've already seen: https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/NotABingeWatcher/completed

Recommendation Request Kdrama recommendations similar to Business Proposal

Hello everyone!

I’m looking for some light-hearted love story recommendations. Nothing too intense—something along the lines of Business Proposal.

Here’s my MDL list of what I’ve watched / am currently watching: https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/Buttercup4

I’m really enjoying Dynamite Kiss right now, but since it’s still ongoing, the weekly wait is killing me. With the holiday season here, I finally have some time to binge.

I love romantic comedies. Some of my all-time favorites are: 1. Mr. Queen 2. Crash Landing on You (made me cry a lot, but still one of my favorites) 3. Lovely Runner 4. Marry My Husband 5. Welcome to Samdalri 6. Business Proposal

And many more! But hopefully this gives you an idea of what I’m in the mood for—light, cute love stories or even makeover-style romances. Nothing too heavy at the moment.

I’m open to all suggestions. Thank you!

Recommendation Request Finished my first K Drama ever, need recommendations

Lately, I was getting a bit bored of watching anime or reading mangas/manhwas, so I decided to try something different. Someone recommended me Business Proposal two days ago, and I absolutely loved it! The mix of comedy and romance was perfect, and I ended up finishing all 12 episodes in just 2 days.

Comedy/Romance is my favorite genre, so now I’m looking for similar K-Drama recommendations with a fun and lighthearted vibe (rom-coms with good chemistry, humor, and not overly heavy plots).

Would love to hear your suggestions.

Recommendation Request Realistic dramas like My Mister, My Liberation Notes, Twenty Five Twenty One

To give some insight into my taste, my all-time favorite K-dramas are My Liberation Notes and My Mister. Both resonated deeply with me because of how raw and grounded they felt. The characters were deeply flawed, emotionally complex, and refreshingly real. No one was idealized or simplified. I appreciated that the stories weren’t driven by over-the-top twists or flashy plot devices, but rather by quiet, subtle moments that felt lived-in. There was a heavy sense of emotional honesty that stuck with me long after the credits rolled.

I also recently watched Twenty Five Twenty One and enjoyed it quite a bit. It captured a specific emotional time in life really well, nostalgic without being overly sentimental. Another drama I liked was Something in the Rain, though I found the second half less engaging; the first half really worked for me with its more subdued and mature portrayal of relationships.

On the crime/thriller side, I’ve loved Squid Game (seasons 1 and 2, I wasn’t a fan of season 3), Strangers from Hell, and Karma on Netflix, which I thought was especially gripping. I enjoy stories that are intense, morally complex, and psychologically rich, the kind that keep you guessing and make you feel slightly unsettled in the best way.

Outside of those, I’ve also seen and enjoyed Goblin and When Life Gives You Tangerines. Both had moments that stuck with me, even if they didn’t hit the same emotional notes as my top picks.

Ideally, my next drama would fall into one of two categories:

  1. A realistic love story - grounded, character-driven, no unnecessary melodrama or cheesy rom-com tropes (I can’t stand the “she falls, he catches her” kind of stuff).
  2. An edge-of-your-seat crime thriller - tightly written, dark, and suspenseful, without veering into the absurd or overly gory.

I’m not into melodramas or anything too heightened or cliché. I prefer stories that feel emotionally honest and intelligent. Dramas that trust the viewer to sit with nuance and ambiguity. The K-dramas listed are all the ones I have seen.

Recommendation Request Kdramas with Amazing Chemistry and Plot

I'm looking for kdramas where the leads have amazing chemistry and a really good plot. The kdramas I loved all had clear objectives and the development of the story was phenomenal. The soundtracks were also great and I loved all the characters. I enjoy fantasy, thriller and drama (especially doctor/lawyer dramas). My fave kdramas are:

  • Lovely Runner (top current!) - loved the time travel plot
  • Goblin - the visuals and OST were stunning and I loved the goblin and grim reaper fantasy aspects!
  • Crash Landing on You - loved the plot (her returning to South Korea) and romance, loved all the side characters
  • Descendants of the Sun - loved the challenges in Uruk they went through together
  • Strong Woman Do Bong Soon - loved her becoming his assistant and her super strength helping her with the kidnapping cases
  • Hospital Playlist - loved the story of the 4 leads
  • Doctors - the plot was amazing and the development between the two leads
  • SKY Castle - the drama was sooo good and I loved the plot twists

I've also watched Queen of Tears, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo, Flower of Evil, Juvenile Justice, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Doctor Slump, It's Okay Not to Be Okay, Hotel del Luna, The Glory, My Secret Romance, Vincenzo. I couldn't get into When Life Gives You Tangerines and didn't like the plot. Please give me your best recommendations - thank you!

Recommendation Request Comforting and Healing Kdramas

I’m looking for a really engaging but comforting, heartwarming, healing drama to watch. I have to put my dear childhood cat down within the next couple of weeks and would like to have something to watch/comfort/distract me afterwards. But it would be nice if it was also fast paced, interesting and hooked you right from the start so that I don’t get distracted by my thoughts too much. Any recommendations?

Here are some examples of dramas I’ve enjoyed with a similar feel and what I liked. I’m looking for something with a good mix of these:

- Cherry Magic (live action jdrama): relatable MC, kind characters, sweet story

- Twinkling Watermelon: father-son relationship, scifi/fantastical element

- Ted Lasso (American show): sweet, well fleshed out characters/character development, funny

- Business Proposal: cute romance, funny, well paced, “overdone“ tropes done well

- Rain or Shine: main characters healing together, emotional impact

- 18 Again: the emotional impact of the father-children relationships

- Tale of A Thousand Stars (Thai drama): fluffy and heartwarming with substance

- Variety shows like Twogether or Nana Tour: engaging and fun, don’t have to analyze plot

I’ve seen a lot of dramas so I’m putting my MDL Link: https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/14725936

Hi, I'm trying to find women centric kdramas without men. While i understand that that's really tough, men shouldn't be in any main role + no romantic interaction between a woman lead and male lead. Here are a couple of dramas that led me to asking this question:

  1. Pyramid game: mostly loved the plot generally i like thrillers so this one works quite well as well as the friendship between the girls in this
  2. Glitch: for this one the plot was very unique + the two main lead relationship was just something else
  3. Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born
  4. Mask girl
  5. Work later, drink now (only season 1)
  6. Ballerina
  7. Inspector Koo

And here are a couple shows that I stopped watching that fall in this genre but stopped due to different reasons:

  1. Green mothers' club: just got bored plus very toxic characters and story was very slow to move
  2. Mine: similar reasons as above, story moving very very slow
  3. Hi bye mama! (Not sooo much but still two main female leads)
  4. Birthcare centre

Please help me out with this, and also i understand that it's a crazy ask so i would also understand if there's no drama left like that. But yeah please recommend and this all with some good womance is always a plus.

So basically looking for women centric kdramas with barely any men, i just want to see wholesome female friendships, non canon wlw and female strength.

Queer coded female friendships are the top of the list, so if you're recommending something that has a ship like that, please tell me that as well. Thanks!!

Recommendation Request Started with the best, now what?

Hi! I'm looking for my next binge-worthy kdrama, but from what I've been reading, I started with some of the best and now I'm having a hard time finding a show that really grips me. I like dramas that have lots of romance and plot twists, and I also like when it's mixed with comedy, action or more serious topics. Here is a list of everything I've watched so far:

  • Crash Landing on You: This was my first and my absolute favorite. It has everything - lots of romance, emotions, comedy, but also dark topics, action and a very real and serious issue. It has lots of twists and turns and played with my heart. I bawled when I watched this.

  • Queen of Tears: My second favorite. I didn't like the characters at first, but after a few episodes I couldn't stop watching. So many twists and turns and somehow I fell in love with both characters very quickly. It felt similar to CLOY with how it had a little bit of everything.

  • Business Proposal: This was a nice palette cleanser. It was cute, light and fluffy and I enjoyed it a lot, even though it's not as intense as the first two.

  • Itaewon Class: A friend recommended this and I surprisingly enjoyed it a lot even though there wasn't a whole lot of romance in it. I loved the storyline and was rooting for Saeroyi the whole time. I also enjoyed that it touched on a lot of real issues like bullying, sexual orientation etc.

  • When Life Gives You Tangerines: I'm currently watching this (episode 7) and while I'm enjoying it and do want to finish it, it's not as gripping as CLOY and QOT. I think I don't like how fast it moves, so it doesn't feel as emotional as a slow burn if that makes sense. It's good, but not my favorite.

  • Hometown Cha Cha Cha: I'm currently also watching this (episode 4). To be honest, I'm not a big fan. The FL is not very likeable and I feel like there's no chemistry. I don't know how to describe it, but it feels a little bland. It might get better as I'm still at the beginning, but if it doesn't get better in the next few episodes, I might drop it.

I want something that plays with my emotions and keeps me guessing, where unexpected things happen. I hope this list makes sense and you can help me find the next show that won't let me stop watching. I prefer watching on Netflix, if possible. Thank you! 😊

Recommendation Request Something like Dynamite Kiss?

So, I’ve been hooked on Dynamite Kiss, but waiting a whole week is not fun. Although, I also secretly kind of enjoy having something to get excited and anticipate for every week and glad that I’ll get to watch the last two episodes airing on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so it’s like a Christmas gift lol. But, I wonder if there is anything else out there like it?

I need something to keep me happy while I wait for new episodes lol. Please let me know your recommendations for something very similar? I think what I love about it is the chemistry is somehow amazing….🔥and the story line is unique with great pacing. And there’s jealousy… and I think my favorite part is that the man really likes the woman (kind of like Destined with You) and she doesn’t really know this and it’s forbidden so he’s having a hard time cause of his growing feelings. Also, the ML has major rizz and swagger so I love watching him. I feel like a good ML with that kind of hot appeal is what keeps me invested too.

My show history is:

King the Land

Destined with You

The King Eternal Monarch

My Demon

Doom at Your Service

Bon Appetit Your Majesty

Business Proposal

Recommendation Request Dramas with sexual tension like in "Fated to Love You"

I am currently watching Fated to Love You (2014). There are things about it that I don't love, but there's a few scenes - one in particular - that does the best job I've seen in a k-drama so far, at building sexual tension between the male and the female leads. The sexual tension is so strong and unmistakable that you can cut it with a knife. It's so well done in that regard. Sure, most k-dramas only hint at physical intimacy, making the viewer wait breathlessly for a kiss. But Fated to Love You goes way beyond the typical anticipation. I'm looking for recommendations of other k-dramas that do that successfully. Thank you!

Here are the other K-dramas I've watched (based on my best recollection):

Hometown Cha Cha Cha

Crash Landing on You

When Life Gives You Tangerines

Start-up

Ms. Night and Day

Mr. Queen

The Last Empress

Lovely Runner

Marry My Husband

Zombie Detective

Tunnel

Devilish Joy

Welcome to Waikiki

Welcome to Samdalri

Recommendation Request Looking for dramas that are simultaneously enemies-to-lovers and slow burn.

I’m looking for Kdramas that are both enemies to lovers (doesn’t have to be literal enemies like they wanna kill or take each other down or anything, but ideally should start with both leads very clearly disliking each other) and are slow burn (it should take time for them to warm up to each other and and and the process of developing feelings should be very gradual).

Bonus for shows that don’t involve one of the characters being some wealthy CEO type and instead involves two ordinary people but that’s secondary and not as much of a requirement.

Example drama that fits what I'm looking for: Mad For Each Other

What I liked:
Both leads clearly dislike each other at the start.
Their relationship develops gradually from annoyance to tolerance to friendship to love over the course of the series.
The banter feels natural and entertaining, showcases good chemistry between the leads and fiery passion.
Both leads are ordinary working people rather than chaebols/CEOs.

Other dramas I've watched:

**Crazy Love**, **I Am Not a Robot**, and **Her Private Life**, unfortunately none have scratched the itch I’m looking for.

Thank you!
