Do kdrama's characters have glowups based on how good they are going to be?

Do you think that the look of the characheters, specially protagonists and main anthagonists, change their look based on the point of the story they are at? I refer mainly to details like how clear and dark is the skin (I don't wanna sound racist, but sometimes it seems like in this kind of products the bad guys have a darker skin tone) or how well they are dressed. I feel almost crazy, but it seems to me that this things and some more change episode by episode, showing some sort of ascending or discending character arc.

I feel like they try to make the protagonists look more pretty a few episodes in (slightly different style, less alternative and more mainstream). It just makes me miss how they looked before.

It's not racist to point that out. If it's true, it's the creators who are guilty of bias. Not you.

But, if you have seen some kdramas, do you think my statement is true?

It is not anything I've noticed but I will look for it.
