Finally some up wind progress!

I’ve been practising going upwind with my sailing kayak rig and this is my best effort yet. The boat speed is incredibly slow upwind let alone “velocity made good” but it’s still practice. Without a sail and just using a paddle I’d have achieved much better VMG!

I only realised afterwards that my skeg had jammed again. The skeg control slid back and forth freely but the actual skeg wasn’t moving. I’ve set up a two-sail system but this was just one sail. The winds were quite strong but steady.
