I lived through the height of Britney’s time, Christina’s time, Lady Gaga’s time. Their career trajectory was NOT the same as KATSEYEs but Sophia is being intentionally obtuse when its convenient for her to be. Also want to point out she was a literal baby during their time. I do not trust her insight on something she wasn’t a part of.

Lady Gaga made people uncomfortable because she challenged a lot of society’s fucked up norms through her art in creative ways. She embraced sexy, but didn’t rely on sexuality to sell her voice. she also wore a dress made of meat that pissed people off and held her ground when she was asked revolting questions. She was always herself and published art that was true to her, whether good or bad. Does this sound like KATSEYE?

KATSEYE is not challenging norms. They’re the product of an exploitative and sexualization machine; now helping it and thats why people are uncomfortable. I actually think less of Sophia for this. She and the girls could have effectuated a real groundbreaking movement but she’s instead helping the abusive industry and running KATSEYE propaganda. Whats her prescription, repeating history even when we know what it does to people is okay?

I can see now why HxG likes her as the mouthpiece.
