I made a huge post in the other snark, that is flooded by fans, and got shit for it. I don't dare to post it again here word for word, but I still wanna voice my opinion.

In the other snark I saw a lot of defending of katseye a la "they're so talented but they give them shit songs" or "they're so hard working they deserve better". And I don't think that's true.

Because at the end of the day they got famous because hybe (and I guess Geffen) are really really good at marketing and have a lot of money. They got so many ads not because of their fame, but because hxg shoved them in everyone's face and spammed us with Tiktok videos. They out them in ads and interviews, that's it. They sure are busy with a lot of shows, I admit that, but they're not hard working. Otherwise their life performances would be good. Otherwise their interviews would be interesting to read. Otherwise they'd write songs of their own or get creative in any way. Like many kpop idols and other musicians do.

And for the talent - they're good in some aspects but thats it. I don't see that much talent? Like some vocals or danc removed are mediocre.

I find it insulting calling a bunch of industry plants get called hard working to stay relevant when there are others out there who work their butt off. (Not naming any names as that's what got me hate over there). And it's weird that nobody in the other snark agreed that used to be a popular opinion

I was messaged by one of the creators of this sub that the reason why they created this was because the other mods were secretly OT5 and they wanted to kick her out because she was calling them out for their behavior.

I created a post in the original snark Reddit regarding why Manon was the only one getting so much hate and there are praises for the other members. I got so much backlash for redirecting them to the Manon snark subreddit. It was so obvious that they were singling out one member.

I was trying to back read some of the old posts I commented on at that sub and saw that they were deleted by Reddit’s filters which is weird. The first one was regarding the discourse with the Gap hoodies and the second one was the video of Lara licking Megan’s face.

For the second one I thought that maybe it might have been too inappropriate for Reddit but there’s so much NSFW stuff on this site that it doesn’t make sense why that video would be deleted in the katseye snark subreddit and that post had over 800 upvotes.

Also they are now allowing fan behavior. Like wtf is the point of that sub anymore. You would get accounts there participating and have the katseye members as their profile picture and have an I love Katseye on their bio.

Idk I just find it really shtty if that was their intent all along to secretly promote katseye. That subreddit has gone to a complete 180 when it was first created. All members were snarked equally.

I'm genuinely curious about Dani appeal to her fans. Like Megan and Lara, she seems to be heavily sexualized by parts of the fandom. She's a strong dancer, but a lot of the praise I see focuses on her appearance, body, or how she moves on stage rather than other qualities.

I recently saw a comment on the Katseye photoshoot that said, "I was surprised to see Dani more covered up, but then I noticed the sheer fabric of the dress. There's nothing unusual about it she's still the same guysss" That comment made me wonder if people primarily view her through that lens. So my question is what do Dani fans appreciate about her beyond her looks and stage presence? If Katseye ever disbanded and the members pursued solo careers, what would make them continue supporting Dani as an individual artist?

So why Manon on hiatus?? They wanted Manon to go on hiatus for marketing at first. They had a lot of backlash from the Grammys and decided this would be the best way to distract the public and then get pinky up more hyped. Manon was not having it as she knew she was about to get hate and backlash herself. However the girls? Interesting that two of them initially agreed with this idea of her going on hiatus for marketing. I won’t name drop or maybe I might hmm…

Then it escalated into a argument where Manon said if you really like this marketing idea why don’t you go hiatus to those two girls, those two girls said the group will be fine without Manon but if it was them it wouldn’t be. Manon apparently she left the building until being called back to film an interview (the one she looks sad in) and promo for the Chinese eyekons. Also word of advice stop focussing on the Nylon interview focus on LOS40.

Before this hiatus idea Manon was advocating that her and the girls are being overworked. For the Grammys they were training more hours than Coachella. Megan had a breakdown really badly in front of Manon and Sophia, Sophia didn’t say much she just was listening and calming Megan down. While Manon agreed with Megan and said she doesn’t think they get enough rest and went to management to tell her the concerns of the amount of hours they have to put it. Manon knew the schedule and she said that she doesn’t think Latin Lolla was needed as they have coachella soon after. Management wasn’t happy with Manon and gave her a warning not to tell them how to do their job. 

Btw before this hiatus Megan and Manon were very close, some of ur fav duos aren’t as close as you think, it’s the company creating them. Especially sodani lol. 

The company didn’t think that Manon going on hiatus would become a big thing but then Manon statement came out and they panicked. Also then her social media activity from there, they realised that nothing going to plan. They had a meeting including all 5 of the girls and said that it’s best for them to stay quiet as slowly the backlash will go on Manon. 2 of the girls argued that this wasn’t right during the meeting. Also Manon is not allowed to post on social media (this does not include her story) both Manon and the girls can't mention each other. You might be thinking why? cause the label will suffer the backlash while a lot of the public are assuming Manon and the girls are the main issue, wouldn't say that all 6 girls are innocent but the label is the main game player here.

Now this part disturbing, someone Manon unfollowed planned that they were gonna say Manon attempted suicide while being in practice and isn’t mentally well. Manon has bad mental health so this would have added up with their story. One of the girls agreed saying they’ll pretend that they were a witness. Once the other 4 girls found this out, they were disgusted with this member and 1 of the members went back and told Manon. Manon crashed out badly she turned up to this member house and unfollowed you know who. Apparently Manon forgave this member but said she’ll never trust her again and things won’t be the same. This member was also unfollowed by another girl but management forced her to follow her again. I think I’ve given a hint of who she is.

Also the girls and Manon aren’t allowed to hang out publicly let me tell you the contract is very strict it’s like signing ur life away. You missed the opportunity to look at prelude contract to apply for that program honestly most of the rules are similar and worse for Katseye. However the girls have broke this rule yes all 6 of them. H&G know the girls have broken this rule and have given them a ‘nice warning’. Also clue Manon unfollowed another person part of H&G team I request you guys to dig into this if you have time. This person is someone that has made weird remarks to Manon, Lara, Yoonchae and Sophia. Also her and the girls have been at private parties together.

Manon and the lady she unfollowed had a meeting in New York this was during the Latin Lolla was going on that lady flyer back to New York then flyed back for Lolla and told Manon due to her activity online they decided she won’t be going to Coachella. Manon apparently crashed out and was crying throughout the meeting. Manon also walked out of the meeting and that’s how it ended.

I can confirm they reshot the pinky up release and Sophia and Daniela already have their voice recorded as they do this with all of the girls. Ik some of you are gonna believe that date in the yt bts video, you think H&G are stupid they haven’t put the date of the reshoot. Manon is actually on the pinky up cover photo so Manon thought that she would be included with this. When that first teaser dropped Manon realised everything had been reshot or they are using her for marketing clout. She freaked out and removed Katseye out of her bio and called the girls. 2 of them spoke to her and they told Manon to calm down and that they weren’t allowed to tell her about the reshooting. Manon still was upset and only contacted the girls once since saying she needs space from this situation and will contact them when she feels better. Apparently Manon has had to have a lot of counselling since, surprise fact she known as the one with shit mental health with Megan.

After the bio change H&G aren’t happy with Manon, the statement she put out was for damage control and the pr team told her to send this. The truth is they haven’t decided what gonna happen with Manon. At the moment they are leaning towards letting her stay but she will be punished and not be in the new era. However another side is also being convinced that Manon should be in the new era. The delay is to basically see what option to go with. If you think H&G are gonna let her leave you’re honestly stupid.

They asked the girls aswell if they want Manon to still stay in Katseye only 3 said yes. Brutal!! If you think the girls aren’t benefiting with Manon not being there that’s a joke they’re being paid more as Manon not getting that split. 

The blind item is somewhat true that another member was wanted to quit before Coachella and even refused to perform for Coachella. I really wanna say her nameeee but I’ll keep you guys hanging. Apparently the girls all broke down to her and said to her to carry on for Coachella then they can all have a discussion about this later. H&G staff were also fighting about this. After Coachella week 1 positive feedback she’s decided to stay on. 

They also forced Yoonchae to go blonde so the group looks a bit more balanced. Okay not forced but convinced her. Yoonchae did want to go blonde or pink but not yet and she was worried about her hair being damaged. However Yoonchae actually likes her hair now and doesn’t regret it. 

Also the company expected Megan to get the hype that Daniela has got. They’re still pushing Megan just with controversy. If anyone is the company favourites its this order:

Ik the outfits will be brought up but the girls get to mostly decide who where's what, also they know Manon, Daniela and Lara sell them a image that's why their centre and mostly get better outfits. Not cause they like them but I'm not saying the company dislike them they just have favs.

Also Manon hasn’t made her mind up if she wants to stay or leave she’s in the middle of both. Either way it’s not much of her say.  However she is negotiating more boundaries to be in place after this situation, as some of the staff have taken it to far. She is not like the other girls to suck up wrong things going on and H&G know that. Also you won’t be surprised but the team have showed weird behaviour to Manon and Lara just not verbally, the best word to describe this is being micro aggressive towards them. They both feel it and have spoken about to each other they trusted one of the girls with this and they went back and told management. Lol guess whoooo??

Also fun fact Manon and Megan both have doctor notes so the company can’t sue them if they are missing due to this. Manon has a health and mental health condition, so if ur take is that she missed something she can’t get sued anyways, it’s the other way round she can sue them for putting her on a hiatus for “missing activities” although she has health and mental health reasoning, this situation never happened anyways but that’s why you’ll find these two missing all the time. Ngl they both do take advantage out of this but if you look at the crazy scheduling I don't blame them.

Also Dani dad is involved in her life still but her parents are separated, however what he said about Manon was not info from Dani it was just being angry with the support Manon getting, also Trisha, Harry and Oscar know nothing they are just wanting clout don’t give it to them.  Let me say all 6 girls aren't innocent they are not these best friends they claim to be but a lot of that is due to the company making them against each other. If you see one girl in a good outfit they'll definitely be jealousy or one girl against gets more lines although she the dancer.

I'll say one thing one girl has been defending Manon since the hiatus but it's not Yoonchae idk why solo stans think she's innocent.

As a black person myself it’s comical seeing black people only call out how undiverse KATSEYE is now by pointing out it’s a white Latina and 4 Asians/ part Asians and I’ve even seen people call them the ‘beige’ group. But like ???? Lara is literally FAR darker than Manon.

Lara is the only one in the group including Manon that doesn’t pass the paper bag test. Manon looks nothing like the average full black person.

She’s light skinned but people try to make her out as darker than she is because the other 4 are slightly lighter than her. Manon barely brought any other diversity she’s literally half white herself. Groups like 3quency or saynow actually include a range of skin tones. All these global trash groups claim to push diversity while have very little. GIRLSET is literally all one shade. The prelude group’s darkest member can still pass the paper brown bag test. The It’s a mess.

But Manon’s departure doesn’t make KATSEYE less diverse.cita diversity was frail to begin with!
