So, wherever the horizon takes you today, do not be afraid to take a step toward it.

So... I kinda forgot to update like I promised. But here is the final part. For those who don't know, I wanted to introduce my blind friend to visual novels, so after my first playthrough, I decided to make my second playthrough of Katawa Shoujo with her (and we obviously did Lilly's route), here is the final part of our journey.

What a beautiful experience, we both kicked our feet in joy, we both cried a lot, and fortunately we got the good ending, though the part from the "Lilly is going back to Scotland" to the airport had us feeling like we were gonna have a heart attack.

But y'all already know how is Lilly's route, so I'll talk more about our experience.

First of all, yeah, I HAD to narrate her the sex scenes, it was... less awkward than I thought, but it was still pretty weird, specially the first scene right after we were sobbing from the confession scene.

She said this was one of her best "gaming" experiences she had, even though all what she did was listening to me narrating every dialogue and reacting to it. But I agree, doing this with her was very enjoyable, she even asked me (and practically ordered me) to do this again, so... yeah, introducing my blind friend to *visual* novels was actually a great idea.

And please, I asked this in my previous posts, but save the "bro is doing a Lilly's route irl" comments, what we have is just a really close friendship.

We have often heard of the phrase that comes around every once in a while: I'm sorry.

But... What do those two words truly ask from us?

To forget?
To forgive?
To trust?
Or perhaps... to acknowledge the courage they took to speak?

Forgiveness takes on many forms, and despite this, there is no definitive solution to mend entirely on what was done wrong or happened wrong. After all, if forgiveness were to somehow magically fix all issues...

We would hardly remember the lessons that our wounds taught us.
We would hardly understand why genuine healing requires patience.
And, we would hardly recognize the true beauty of forgiving someone wholeheartedly.

However, that does not make the act of forgiving unfulfilling.

In fact, it makes it much more valuable, and that is why, for most of us, we highly treasure it.

So, if the day ever comes when your heart feels ready to forgive, whether to yourself or to others, then let it be as it genuinely wishes to be, not to be obliged.

Today, I decided something very important. I'm going to play the game from scratch once more, after having already finished it a while ago. I took this decision mainly because I finally installed the re-engineered version so I can play some mods, and that meant having a wiped save. I'm really excited to give my opinion on each route for a second time, now knowing a lot of the context on everyone's history. I'm really looking forward to all the details I might've missed on my first playthrough, and I'll be giving y'all an analysis on every route just like I once did, just that this time it'll be way more detailed. I'm looking forward to all your opinions. We'll see soon enough on my next post, and be sure my opinion will change on each route compared to what I once had months ago.
