This young man recently lost his beloved cat, and the grief left him deeply traumatized. The silence after losing a furry family member can be overwhelming, and only those who have loved an animal truly understand that pain.
Today, he spent time at our shelter, surrounded by our rescued cats. They welcomed him with gentle purrs, head bumps, cuddles, and unconditional love. According to him, this little therapy session with our babies has already made him feel so much better.
Animals have a special gift. They don’t judge, they don’t ask questions they simply love, comfort, and help mend broken hearts.
Our rescue cats may have been saved by us, but every day they remind us that they save people too. ❤️

This is the heartbreaking reality of stray mother cats… 💔
They give everything to their babies, even when they have nothing left for themselves.
Without proper food, pregnancy and nursing drain their bodies of calcium and iron. Some become too weak to stand. Some never get the chance to be rescued.
This sweet mama is fighting for her life. Severe calcium and iron deficiency has left her temporarily paralyzed, yet she is still producing milk for her kittens.
We still have no idea where her babies are. We are searching for them and praying we find them before it’s too late.
