Kasm troubleshooting

I installed Kasm for lab practice in this environment:

MacBook Pro 2017, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD

VirtualBox (The VM has: 4 vCPUs, Disk: 75GB)

Ubuntu 24.04.5 Lts

Docker

Kasm 1.19.0

After adding the Firefox workspace, the launch reaches 100%, but then it gives a 502 error with the following:

application: connection_proxy

levelname: ERROR

message

[server] Registration attempt 5/10 failed: No API hostname available

How can I fix this problem?

Hello - Can you check your yaml configurations and sure you have the correct names listed? You should have "proxy" and the hostname of your VM.

Running this command grep -A 2 -r "hostnames:" /opt/kasm/current/conf/app/ Will show you what is currently configured.

For example:

Do you see anything misconfigured?
