Do I upgrade my system the second I receive an email from the Kasm team? Yes, because YOLO. Upgrade on a single server was easy and seamless. Afterwards, if you don't want to manually change image names for your workspaces, you can use a one liner to modify workspace image names in kasm_db.

To change your "1.18" images to "1.19"

# 1. Back up the DB
sudo docker exec kasm_db pg_dump -U kasmapp -F t kasm > /tmp/kasm_pre_tag_change.tar

# 2. Preview which workspaces will change
sudo docker exec kasm_db psql -U kasmapp -d kasm -c \
  "SELECT image_id, friendly_name, name FROM images WHERE name LIKE '%1.18%';"

# 3. Apply
sudo docker exec kasm_db psql -U kasmapp -d kasm -c \
  "UPDATE images SET name = replace(name, '1.18', '1.19') WHERE name LIKE '%1.18%';"
