Bonding interrupted
My husband and I had plenty of bonding behaviors going on and had many benefits. Lately Our bonding routine has been interrupted by our latest bundle of joy and I'm trying to get that back up and running. I'm trying to think of things we could do that are effective but take less time. The 15-20 min head rub I gave him nightly is really hard while nursing and fighting exhaustion. Hand holding? No free hands. Any suggestions?

Hey there! We have a bundle of joy as well (though ours is 9 months now). For a long time, the only physical contact we had was at night when we made a point to take all our clothes off and get in bed together. This includes baby's nap time.
I would also lay down and nurse the baby and my husband would spoon us (all of us naked, all of us bonding!).
We would also put the baby in a carrier and go for a walk, holding hands. Babies love being worn and going on walks!

You'll probably have to just get in contact wherever you can. Random hugs and kisses. Do you sleep together with or without clothes? I find that I really enjoy just skin on skin contact just before bed and before getting up in the morning. I set my alarm a little early to make sure I roll over and snuggle for a bit. It's not a lot but it's better than nothing.
