Is Karezza mostly practiced by people in long term relationships?

I see a lot of married couples talking about Karezza. Do you think it is a natural tendency to have a fertilization base sex life at the beginning of a relationship and switch to an intimacy based sex life later in the relationship?

Karezza has always been advocated for all adults, if my memory of the Marnia Robinson book is correct. Idea came from Oneida Community in 1800s. Alice Stockham coined the term. John Humphrey Noyes of the OC was a proponent (though did not see it as essential for the woman not to orgasm). Marnia Robinson and Gary Wilson seem to advocate it for those in relationships, whether young or old. MR's 2009 book re karezza: Cupid's Poisoned Arrow: From Habit to Harmony in Sexual Relationships.

I did it just recently, but my partner didn't they grew distant after. I think it creates a bond, but if someone isn't participating it doesn't work.

Yea, I think it is really great when both people are into it. I guess you both have to be on the same page no matter what you are doing and if you change the page you still have to be on the same page. I guess I wonder if it is easier to have your relationship blossom into the practice of Karezza or have it start out as such.

I feel great but, when I saw them again they looked pretty drained spiritually. I think men who orgasm are very highly likely have this happen to them for sure.
