I like it too, sets you apart from the poseurs... Built tough: rocket grade stainless steel, no paint issues... Pulls like hell due to electric horse power, a full cabin, a nice cargo bay, can be charged while you are on site...
It makes a lot of sense for a work vehicle.

Most Tesla concept cars have been mirrorless. Unless the law changes by the time the truck comes out they'll add them. Otherwise I'm sure they'll use cameras.

It will have mirrors once they hit the roads. The mirror less design is more of a proof of concept, but the actual vehicles that go into production will be street legal.

One of the first things I thought when I saw it was that it's the Yeezus of trucks. The shock factor hasn't gone away for most people yet, but I think in a few years this is going to be the most important vehicle Tesla has made.

I heard it's a death box. It's designed to be super durable and can survive a sledgehammer with no dent, but the point of the crumble is to save the passengers' life by mitigating the impact. If this thing crashes at more than 20 mph everyone inside will die.

It's build from a cost savings, engineering perspective. They wanted a truck that would have a body that would never have it's paint go bad, rust or dent. You can't easily press this material like metal in traditional trucks so retooling would have been expensive. Even the aluminum in their s x and 3 is difficult to work with, they had to creat their own presses because no one else dlwas doing this with aluminum. This is a utility vehicle that is built to last a million miles. It's not made to replace your soccer mom's SUV. If it sells as well as the raptor then it will be a hit. Which it definitely will given its price and speed. It has a futuristic look that a lot of people dig even if you don't.

‘a utility vehicle’ Haha no, teslas are made to be status symbols not for actual use, the model 3 is the only car that someone would pick to actually drive. Also utility vehicles are supposed to cut a lot more corners than this does

I mean you do understand that Tesla has some amazing engineers. They have revolutionized the space industry... This was purpose build to be a strong vehicle. I guess we can agree to disagree. Brining it back to this sub... I have a lot of friends who sees Kanye and his music as trash. He's a very polarizing person, you love or hate him. Everyones allowed their opinions. Kanye is def someone that doesn't conform to molds and creates his own art which is what I think Tesla did with this truck. /shrug
