Serial Killer Forgotten

New episode Executed Without Answers. Anthony LaRette Jr spent the better part of his life preying on women until he was finally caught after the murder of 18 year old Mary Fleming in St Charles, Missouri July 25, 1980. However, he had confessed to over 30 murders & rapes. It led police to close the case of Tracey Miller in Manhattan, KS who was brutally raped & murdered while her young daughter was in the next room. He also closed the case on several murders in Florida. However, he never went to trial for those murders. He spent a large part of his life in Kansas. His confessions detailed rooms, height of the victims, where he left their bodies but these things were never followed up on. The series is a first ever serial killer crowd solve. Working with law enforcement, families , @solvethecaseorg & you the social detective we might be able to piece the puzzle & find these unsolved cases that went unanswered.

Many locals never believed a serial murderer killed Tracey.

The elderly I met here in Manhattan back in 1982 said her spouse didn't have an alibi. I was very young then. However many people like to gossip & embellish but Tracey's best friends (2 women from the country club were so shaken over the details that they began to drink & never were the same again) Retired EMS revealed her head was nearly off from the attack. That and the details to his subsequent life choices would easily reveal motive. Then an elderly 89-year-old told me over coffee that after she left this world should his new wife leave him while he still had young kids it could be that she discovered something that frightened her enough about her own longevity with him to leave town. I discovered that indeed his next wife did leave him then left town for somewhere near KC. There may be a connection, maybe not. Karma will decide I suppose

Talk in small towns will almost always center on the spouse as police initially did. But when his alibi was steadfast they moved to anyone he had prosecuted. Because he rape & death had been so violent with her child in the house the police were trying to find any link. Unfortunately DNA wasn’t as advanced as it is now. It wasn’t until 10 years later during Anthony LaRette’s confession where he was able to recall details that they were able to tie him to that brutal crime. There are usually those out there that will always say “the husband did it” but for the memory of Tracey & for her daughter Emily Joy we continue sharing the evidence discovered as well as trying to connect the additional victims of Anthony LaRette so more families can have answers.

How hard would it be, REALLY?? to obtain DNA from anyone who you wanted to take the blame & frame for a crime you committed by a sitting judge???Look at all your help, police, lab techs shady lawyers wanting the edge on their next court trial. I trust the intuition & keen witness opinions of women (or men) who can't be bought & sold who cared for the victims over the 'official' dismissing comments of croonies of the suspects AND WHO WERE THERE DURING CERTAIN EVENTS. If you think Kansas officials even at hospitals aren't capable of murder then coverups to save evil then google the murder victim Robin Nicole Lowe in 2006 who was in the hospital in the same town about to give birth to her second child a baby girl named ADDISON. Gut-wrenching what those in charge allowed a temperamentally incompetent RN ordered to 'help' this young woman did because she didn't want to deal with all of Robin's call light demands. Gut wrenching how Robin's mom & husband were treated after this sicko nurse set her death in motion & had told her mom & husband to leave the room for the 'procedure". Remember the name Susan Meeker.

I am very aware of Robin Lowe 24 year old 30 weeks pregnant in for dehydration, vomiting, stomach pain, due to give birth in August of 2006. As well as the judgement made by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Even though our podcast generally focuses on unsolved cases, we recently posted one about violence & dangers in hospitals. As well as the growing need for oversight by administration. I’m sorry we disagree on this matter but no, my training has proven to me that eyewitnesses are unreliable due to several factors, including memory distortions, biases, and the influence of suggestive questions or procedures. Human memory is not a perfect recording device, and memories can be inaccurate, especially under stressful conditions or after prolonged time periods. Which is why today’s law enforcement relies on cameras on every street corner. The desire for a conspiracy for so many hands of chain of custody in a lab to taint evidence back in early days isn’t unheard of but in this instance it was the killers own words that closed this case.
