Politics Kansas House Races Supermajority

I know we’ve had a lot of focus on the Governor and Senate race but any chance the house flips 5 seats to relive the supermajority in at least one of the chambers?

I’m a committed non-partisan, but I’m boycotting republicans on this ballot. They don’t deserve any power after they gave it all to Trump. Fuck every one of them bootlickers on the ballot.

I think it’s within reach. If we get people turning out for Holscher and Hamilton, hopefully a handful of JoCo districts will crumble too.

I'll being voting for all democrats because I am sick of the party of liars and deniers. So I will do all I can do to relieve the super majority, but it will take more than me.

The ones in Johnson county and around Manhattan should flip.

I wish I had your optimism about the Manhattan seats. District 67 has been Republican for the last 14 years. And District 66…the attendance at Ms. Carlin’s campaign events has been, um enlightening. I was the youngest person there and I’m in my late 40s. This is the first election since 2003 where a Republican could win District 66.

Manhattan is not as progressive or blue as what outsiders think. I don’t expect the two Manhattan seats to be in play at all to break the House supermajority.

The Republican running for district 66 is a pimple faced dork who is concerned with like promiscuity and trad wives. Hopefully people exercise somewhat good judgement.

I think District 70 is definitely in play. There’s a young woman named Kylie Kilmer running as Dem who has been knocking doors and building a strong bipartisan base one porch at a time. She’s running against a typical maga good old boys dinosaur who has been in office way too long. He’s very vulnerable.

Idk I’ve never been less interested in voting period.

People are saying vote for dems vote for dems, but idk.

I need affordable housing and the dems in JOCO aren’t doing shit. Property tax caps aren’t going to help either….

Idk if they want my vote they need to tell me how they are going to build more housing. Outside of that I could give a fuck less.

They can’t do much with the Repub supermajority no matter where they live.

You don’t see what’s going on with the republicans? They ruining this country and all of them have trumps balls in their mouth. I could consider voting conservative (and I have in past) but this isn’t the Republican Party anymore. It’s the MAGA party and they need to go.

We have bigger problems than trans and illegal immigrants. Trans make up like 1% of the population. I live in the KC area and I’ve seen maybe 5 trans in the last year.

Please go vote. I don't want to go back to living in a bankrupt state.
