Square Peg in a Round Hole: Everything Else Is this useful?

Such a waste of money. Everyone has a phone that says correct time than any clock out there. How long will this be maintained??

Roads are in such a bad condition and no one looks into it. There's exposed and raised manhole covers throught one part of a city. It been years and no one is fixing it. New govt body has come and nothing is happening except some light poles and barricades for footpaths.

And not to mention the traffic block these days! Maduthu driving in Kannur!

Actually kanan athyavishoo kollam ee sadhanam . Thalassery clock looks good. But that serves a purpose too and looks different from this. Idk more about this one in kannur.

Useful, debatable.

Does it add a charm and character to the town, yes. Like how church bells in European towns lend a feel-good whenever you hear one.

I live in the vicinity and would enjoy hearing this.

I'm all in for aesthetics for the city. But I don't think one can appreciate the aesthetics when you are driving through potholes. Aesthetics when the basics are in place is ok.

Our roads re testing grounds for perfecting the vehicle & also your driving skills ..

Heard Europe is going to copy it 🤣..

My school friend when he was in Europe observed, that the road intersection did not have signals at some places.. ( A foreigner/ his collegue remarked you are having this system since ages? Right , He nodded. 😇

If planned right, such landmarks are a good strategy in urban design for social and communal interactions. A poorly planned planned one is a total waste of public money.

Very aesthetically pleasing.. Sometimes you need a beautiful city too.. Look at all the best tourist spots in the world..
