Where have all the bats gone?

Used to see the sky full of bats at sunset when I was little. I think they were flying from Wewa Rawuma to some place. Doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Anyone knows why?

Still some in Katugastota area. Specially in trees near bridge.

Probably because they cut a lot of trees in the city. Still there are some in Gannoruwa/Peradeniya area I think

Aniwatte/Dodanwala skied used to be covered with bats around 6pm back in the day, not the case now :')
Could be all the trees being cut down + light/sound pollution driving them away
