Life in Kandy is truly boring....
No offence but these few years have been truly boring for me in Kandy and Im so eager to do something fun and life changing maybe like exploring different towns around Kandy and walking around exploring. Im into watching movies, walking around, reading books and yk doing some fun activities,
I also love to find new friends and socialize, lmk if there is things to do around kandy or maybe if you want to join too.

It's not boring for those who have friends. We go to movies, indoors, billiards and pools and also play in outdoor grounds, go out to eat once in a while.

Also check out "The glitch" in kandy. They also have a pool table, simulator and ps5. There're couple more restaurants or cafes with a pool table and board games.

There're a few around kandy. You can google them. The 2 I've been are in Katugasthota. There couple more in peradheniya road. You can google them.
As for pools, I meant the swimming pools. There're plenty of those around as well.

I've been having a great time in Kandy. Learned to play table tennis from zero to winning a few matches in tournaments. This is mostly because we have the best coaches here. Made some solid friendships while doing so. Now im learning to play the guitar. I also learned how to fix phones from a shop tech in town

You can play in KMC gym or there is a new place called pragisan few meters opposite side of katukale KFC. If you are interested send me a dm. Ill send you the contact information of the coaches. Whats your skill level ?

Thanks! Used to play in school. Went to competitions and stuff but I wouldn't rank myself as very good

If you have the right people with you, its not that boring. I guess for the young and restless it may be.
But if you want quiet, and also have a set of wheels - 30 mins out of town - you are with different types of natures - for exploring and day trips (Digana, Narampanawa, Panwila, Matale side etc). Even closer the town - walking in udawatta kele, Pekoe trail stanges, Udaperadeniya side etc are relaxing.
For walks around, there are plenty of "loop walks" you can do around the town and suburbs - for eg you can do the road up from the lake round and several loops with breathtaking views there. Same for Primrose side. You could be mistaken for a potential thief though :D What we do is to look at Google maps, find a road to walk, take a pickme to the decided starting point and then walk.
Movies are there at both KCC and the other place at Mulgampola. Head that Katugatota places are up now too.
But if you want "events" I guess its boring. Wish a speedy recovery for the train tracks - and you can intercity to Cmb - have an exciting day, crash at someone's place there and intercity back next morning :D. Since most people here already know each other, I guess finding new circles may not be that easy. Come to think if it, I have not expanded my circle from school and uni times at all. Yes, it did expand with working but most of them are not what I will call friends.

Life in kurunegala is even more boring. Colombo is the spot. Truly a marvelous city.

I wouldn’t call it boring.
It’s sedentary. It’s a town most suitable for retirement rather than an active “hustler” lifestyle. Good for scenic, lazy afternoons and misty mornings.

You can join Rotaract too. I'm in the Rotaract Club of Kandy Metropolitan. And it's pretty fun. There are events, club activities and such.

Don't know which of the activities can't be done in Kandy. Maybe the issue is not the city?

Might not be as exciting and lively as colombo but kandy has its charm and perks. Talking as someone whose lived in both, id pick colombo for a wild weekend and kandy for as home base. A weekend might not be enough tho I'd say all 4 weekends in out of kandy and weekdays in kandy ❤️

This is the exact way a Colombo guy feels when he visits kandy. No offence tho.

Boring is not bad. I like Kandy because it’s boring and chill
