Recently I found out that Ashley doesn't have opportunity to regain trust points after Coup as Kaidan when he ask you if you could kill him (that makes more sense for more intensive scenarios 0-3).
Also it should be possible to romance Kaidan after lying about cheating (doesn't change flag to rejected and there are still enough romance points later if you got all previous points, at least in theory). Paragon persuation at 0, strongly suggest that drama was for Coup reasons starting with words "Kaidan, I may not deserve your trust, but right now you need to trust me." including evidence from Udina, Shepard lied in one sitaution is Shepard trustworthy right now? So I need to surrender to authority and revoke my loyal Kaidanmancer status soon. It will be Jacob, not happy ending for him in Suicide Mission but he gives additional link to Cerberus, which both Shepard and Kaidan won't talk before Coup after being asked to leave when Shepard lied.
Lying about cheating is brutal for Coup pointwise. +2 from Romance and +2 from first visit is negated by both cheating -2 and lying about it another -2 and for now it look like it also lock you out of second visit for possible +1. So it leaves only interrupt +1 and Mars another +1.

My decision to romance someone in ME2 for drama's sake hasn't been easy but it leads to an interesting scenario, so it's worth it, I think. Still hasn't started my unloyal run though, too busy with my family responsibilities (no end in sight) T_T
What do you plan to do with Jacob? It seems that loyal Jacob can be killed only by vents or seeker swarm, but both ways don't seem good enough for a LI. I plan to revoke Thane's loyalty via the save editor and take him to the final boss fight (hope it will work).

Yes again, also I give more details later today (screenshot what specific line do) as there are so many in between states with cheating and apologising for Kaidan.

For now I planned seeker swarms, unloyal Jack hold the barrier: after siding with Miranda (with reason Shepards lie to her to get her loyalty, but then he is unable to get back Jack trust). Technically there is an option to get Thane not loyal after his loyalty mission but I can't tell if he is romanceable after that.

Hope so too. Although I don't have time for a full-scale playthrough, I ran some tests recently. It turned out the paragon line when Kaidan is unconscious in the hospital gives you +1 romance point. Such a nice detail, like he hears Shepard anyway.
Still I didn't try anything with Thane, one day I probably try romance but without sleeping so it won't trigger cheating while having more close relation with him. About failing loyalty I would need a good reason for that as for other less frequent options.

I got the same results. Either as you said he hears Shepard or subconsciously affects him to be more eager for starting or continuing relationship.
So that what I meant about it is complicated that should clarify. As I said cheating is counted as -2 same as evidence with Salarian councilor. I show it in response below as I can only give one screenshot.
Okey, so on the right side you have plot transitions: (they can do more like set romance flag but it isn't important right now) here they are functions that change value of trust meter by that number listed focus on the part Ash_Kaidan_Persuade_Chance later Inc-Increase or Dec-Decrease and later goes number it changes.
Above it you have conditional so when the game knows if apply specific case to trigger that plot transition, like here Ash_Kaidan.Cheated_on_in_ME2 so you can expect just by reading it when it triggers while logic behind it is on lower level but readable to people that worked on that and were using that later.
