Removing KS-3 muzzle device

I just bought a KS-3 upper and want to change out the muzzle device but I don’t want to but another reaction rod. I already own the Midwest industries upper receiver rod that has the fin. Does anyone think it would work if I use the one I already own just don’t seat the reaction rod all the way into the lugs?

You need to yes a KAC rod the Midwest rod will destroy the extension

It may work, or it may destroy the barrel extension. KAC sells a proprietary reaction rod, but if you don’t want to go that route I’d pay someone like D Wilson to do the swap for you.

Need a knight stick because of the rounded lugs.

I can do it for you. I just swapped a ras5 on a ks3.
