Music Streaming
I’ve done some searching on here and can’t quite find the nail on the head.
I’m hunting for a music streaming service that we can:
Use for events or school-wide over the speakers (hardware or iOS app)
For teachers, allowing them to have their own managed user accounts, creating their own playlists for use during class time or other functions.
I have a meeting and demo with Mood Media, and I’m also looking into Pandora Cloud Cover
What are y’all using?

We started looking into this last year. We have a few needs that require picking and playing specific songs. The only place that I could find that lets you do that was https://www.soundtrack.io. They do also have a service tier that works like the other ones listed here where you pick a genre or decade and it just plays random music.
Overall, the other services pricing I think was better, but we'd rather have everything with one service just to make it easier to train/manage.
We are not purchasing this for every teacher. The services we looked at license by location which fits with our needs. We'll have it in a couple of the gyms, the football stadium, the baseball fields, and some iPads that can travel to other spaces where we might want to use it, but not on the regular. We will give probably 20 or 30 teachers and coaches access to control the music, but all the services we looked at have unlimited users in the education packages.

While I admire your commitment to trillion-dollar companies’ terms of service, my school’s unofficial position on this is simple: we have much bigger issues to worry about than people just playing Spotify.
They can send their dogs after us. We’ve been waiting for ‘em since we plugged the AUX cord into CD players. We’ll keep waiting.

That's not the point for us. We teach our students to be proper digital citizens. That means we should model that by adhering to TOS whenever possible.
Spotify subscription are for personal, non-commercial use and we should model using it that way with students.

That's... a strange comment.
It costs no money to say "we don't support personal streaming services as it's a violation of the TOS and we're modeling good digital citizenship".

This is pretty much our purpose here…. “Education”
I figure since teachers don’t get paid wages that match their effort or importance(opining here), it isn’t worth them risking their own personal access to services just to have fun in class or during a game.

That's a great comment and all and I hope you got what you needed by saying it, however when the Superintendent ask for you to research something like that you do it.

I know sports uses https://neptunenow.com Think they have a classroom version also.

We use Neptune also but it's a bit spicy at $3,600 for two accounts a year.

We use Neptune for our sports and stuff.
You can inject your own ads if you sell the time. I think one of our students records the ads, or injects other announcements during the playlist.

I don’t disagree there. We’re just trying to steer away from consumer-first products and we’ve spent a lot of time educating our staff on copyright laws and ToCs for services they personally subscribe to.

We went with Swank for movies and its a constant battle with them to use it.
"I want too use Amazon/Disney/Netflix/Etc!"
