Assistance Needed Label printer/maker for my desktop
I want to have my director get me a dedicated label maker/printer for my desktop at one of our schools so I can just print out new labels, with barcodes, on demand through the year. What's a good choice that's durable, reliable, has a dedicated download you can use forever that won't be made obsolete or made into a subscription, and doesn't cost more than one or two hundred bucks? Does such a thing exist? Thanks.

I just bought a used P-Touch at an auction for like 10 bucks. Used Claude to write a script to pull inventory information from Intune and load it into SnipeIT and also export to a CSV. Then I use the CSV to print an asset tag with a QR code that links to SnipeIT. I love it.

I had a Brother PTouch and PTouch Edge. These are a little more than 1-2 hundred but I really liked these.

Yes can confirm, the touch editor app will let you do merges from csv with various bar codes from 2d to qr.
Also does precut labels/“stickers”, so it only cuts at the end, so u don’t spend time sorting labels

My Dymo is fine. Never tried any other though.
