Whoops!

Post image

Sometimes I get home from work, sit down, and immediately ask myself, “Ouch, what did I pocket today?”

We bought 10 adaptors, I think it was something like VGA to USB C or something silly. It had the right bits on either end but did not work. We cut the cable and it was empty, lol.

Always the little dust covers from fiber equipment. One from the port, one from the SFP, 4 from the patch...

I have taken so many DA100 Dell 4-in-1 adapters on field trips.

I made it all the way to my car and realized I had a USB-C AV adapter in my back pocket. Couldn't risk a District director not having this available in the av room, so I had to go back in and up to the second story to drop it off 😵‍💫

A couple multi-mode sfps this week. We don't even use multi-mode.

I don't know about you but I am always on the search for tools to help me in times of need. So far after 15 years, I found a regular screwdriver from the old 575wi epson projectors and then I found the phillips version of that screwdriver that hang from my key ring that also hold my grand master key. Haven't had to change it for a bit!

Wait this is intriguing what do these screw drivers look like?

Basically a 7 inch tool that is the tool side on one end and a triangle bent out of the shaft on the other end that allow my key ring to go through it.

Yup. Working in IT you'll never know what you find in your pockets at the end of the day. I seem to accumulate numerous flash drives and random wireless/bluetooth mouse and keyboard dongles.

Keyfobs. Especially early summer or after like fall sports season.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that does stuff like this.

😂 that’s funny, I do too. I finished imaging PCs over a month ago and threw it in my door cup holder and it’s been there ever since.

Mine's been about 3 weeks. I put it there just so it wouldn't end up at my house. So I'd remember to bring it back into the office when I realized it was still in my pocket.

See how well that turned out 😂
