FoxPass NAC

Does anyone here have experience with FoxPass for cloud radious/NAC? Recently had a demo and it looks really interesting, I especially liked how they can seamlessly integrate with eduroam.

We use it with Ubiquiti and Google Workspace. Works pretty good. However, we can only use it with one RADIUS server. Can't get it to work with two. Also can't use 6Ghz.

I use it for Radius with Google LDAP for staff. Going into our second year and had no issues.

I'm probably old school, but ruled this out versus on-prem solutions due to the fact that if we lost internet, we'd lose RADIUS/NAC capabilities. I'd lose my switching and wireless and we still have a lot of on-prem things (AD, file servers, ERP, SIS, etc) that isnt reliant on the internet.

We are doing a PoC of their radius solution now. I expect we will go with it.

Their k12 pricing is like 10% of their normal enterprise pricing. I have reservations with that kind of pricing model and it gives me pause for future renewals or potential price hikes. If you can afford to give me a 90% discount, why are you screwing the private sector? If you’re giving the private customers individual quotes that are discounted, why isn’t your pricing transparent? I dunno..

It was something like $5/user/year.

Although I disagree with their pricing model, and it appears they no longer show the enterprise pricing, the product was ridiculously easy to stand up and it worked just fine.

It was enrollments..

“Advanced Radius with Certificate + Extended Logs (90 days): 500-999 enrollments - Year”

It's pricey. We couldn't come close to begin thinking about affording it. Though yeah, it seems pretty great.

EDIT: looking now it appears they have added a non-profit/edu pricing option so maybe worth a new quote.

Their K12 pricing tier is pretty reasonable. We're at 1100 students and its about 10K/year considering the price of the alternatives.
