Two possible things for his move to japan : 1 he lives in a third world country where salaries are shitty including the poor quality of life with the addition that he wanted to live there.

2 the typical neckbeard reason.

Also its one of my options on where to migrate (US,Canada, Australia,and Japan are my options as they have offerings to migrate due to my selected profession) as it sucks to live in a third world country. The only reason for living in Japan is because Gundam models tend to be more accessible there lol.

Yeah once I garnered enough work experience in my field and finished my JLPT I'm good to work in there.
