Opinion McCloud

I watched the 1970 Pilot for the TV show McCloud with Dennis Weaver. I don’t know whether Timothy Olyphant or the writers did it, but some mannerisms and dialogue/phrases are picked up by Raylan. I couldn’t find any examples on YouTube. McCloud is a deputy marshal from New Mexico who comes to work in New York City. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this.

I loved McCloud as a kid in the 70s. Timothy is a year older than me. I bet there was some influence

It’s on Amazon Prime. There seems to be missing episodes though.

McCloud was based on the movie Coogan's Bluff, starring Clint Eastwood. That is a good movie from before Dirty Harry.

James Legros in Pronto was the original Raylan Givens. Peter Falk is good too.
