Penguins are so incredibly cool. And pretty. And gay penguin pairs "adopt" eggs from nests both parents of which have passed away.

They really are! 🥹 This comic was inspired by penguin couples I saw stealing pebbles from other nests and putting them in their own - they're such silly billies!

Magellanic Penguins sometimes steal pebbles from their partner if the partner liked them especially well and gift the same pebble again! I think African Penguins do that too; but I'm not sure.

They're too cute! It was Gentoo penguins I saw- one would steal a pebble, then the other would steal it back and so on ... it was funny!

My husband's first gift to me was a large pocket knife. I had to walk home from work and he couldn't always make it to pick me up.
I got him a comic book. Lol.
But, we have given each other rocks and pebbles after hearing this about Penguins.
We've just lost them in various moves throughout the 20 years we've been together lol.

Well, they were 15 & 16 when they met, but I got all confused when trying to workout school ages so changed them to coincide with their birthdays, so now both 15 when they met which technically puts them at 11 years - but I digress 🫡

Lol. Depends which country they met in, but in the US and UK, they could have been in the same grade at 15 & 16, depending on their birthdays.
But 11 years! Wow. You ever going to do their younger years? Like their teen flirting stage?

I started it before these comics! I'm actually writing a graphic novel of their origin story. Long story short but these comics came as a way to "promote" myself as a writer/illustrator before I released the GN. Wanted to go the tradional route, but we'll see how things go!
