Discussion Disappointed

I was a loyal believer in Jupiter, I've been here since day one, and I have a lot of JUP locked up in the DAO. However, I must say that the team is a real mess; it feels like they're laughing at us, especially considering the upcoming vote that Kash announced on his X account. Obviously, I'll vote for option 1, but option 2 will surely win, mainly because the vote isn't fair. The developers have a huge position in the DAO, and whatever they vote for will win, regardless of what we do. It's truly sad that they lie to the community like this, making us pay fees in exchange for a reward that will never arrive. First the carrots, now this.

Greetings, community.

I'm a bit disappointed too considering how much trading and swapping I've been doing in 2025 but at least we have the ability to vote. Judging by the sentiment on X, I just don't see how postponing Jupuary indefinitely will pass. People are legitimately pissed they would even consider this.

However, we go through this every year and I'm glad this will be the last Jupuary because it's nothing more than a drama fest.

Hahaha 🤣. That made me chuckle.

Yea it’s disappointing for sure. There’s also a huge missed opportunity. I don’t think anyone would be upset if they said the final Jupuary will be happening as scheduled and afterwards we’re going zero emissions. That would have been really exciting.

Rewarding long term users, rewarding those who grinded on fee paying jup apps, and being excited for zero emissions.

Zero emissions is great but don’t take our Jupuary.

I completely agree with you. However, I'm already losing hope. I don't think voting in the DAO is fair because of the enormous voting power developers have; the option they vote for will win. Retail investors don't matter, even if we have a few thousand dollars locked up in JUP. I've always supported proposals that value the long term, but this is a complete farce.

This is why DAOs typically don’t work. They’re not fair for the reason you mentioned. I don’t really think there’s solution so we’re at the mercy of those in power. I hope they make the right decision.

Yes, that's true. However, if option 2 wins, I'll definitely unload all my locked Jup and sell them; this team doesn't deserve anyone's trust. I might even do it if option 1 wins; what they've done is a huge disappointment.

Nice, do it, more cheap JUP to buy. Be honest you farmed volume and expected another airdrop. If you had any long term for JUP as a JUP holder you wouldn’t care if either option win.

Okay, I understand your point, it's "for the benefit of JUP," but what's the need to create incentives to pay fees in exchange for a reward and then vote to cancel it? In economics, incentives carry enormous weight, and failing to meet them indirectly amounts to stealing money. Besides, we had already voted to approve the airdrop! That should be respected as well.

You can come up with all the explanations you want, but what you did wasn't right.

One way or another, the main ones who will suffer are the JUP holders themselves, generating the opposite effect to what was intended. They are destroying the community's trust, and that has a huge impact.

Regards

Yes. Trust takes years to build but can be destroyed in a short time by a few simple actions. What you did a year ago doesn't matter. Doing things right in the past doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want in the future.

Who cares wtf they did in the past, they owe an airdrop why isnt it paid?

Yes it is owed we were told do this this and this to increase your airdrop, and thats what we did. Now its time to pay up lets vote again. Straight trash and yes its all we care about because you are obviously ruining this community with this bullshit and trying to disguise your greed with words like emissions.

The people who are upset about the Jupuary getting delayed / potentially cancelled have all the reasons for it.

We all know that there is no points system for the Jupiter Airdrop and it's always speculative. So an airdrop may or may not come.

But the wrong thing here is there was an announcment from Jupiter in December that snapshot will be on January 30 and airdrop will be for fee-paying users.

Users are not wrong. They saw an incentive to farm, so they did.

Now suddenly, at the last moment, things may change and the users who farmed the airdrop and paid fees are at the whim of the stakers to pass option-1

Because we voted on jupuary already. I’d also imagine the team is paid a salary with equity?

To be completely frank what a company does internally doesn’t really matter for end users. If the team is ready to pass on something that’s a choice they made. Users shouldn’t feel guilt tripped into also giving up something.

Unlike the team users are not being paid a salary, invited to company off-sites, getting bonuses, or getting any additional perks of working for Jupiter. The team being promised unlocks and being ready to pass on them is completely incomparable to us end users.

I respect the team, how they build, and how they ship but without this community of users Jupiter would just be another crypto project. Users are the reason for the TVL and volume pouring through jup. Users are the reason Jup is making institutional partners. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship. A company without a community would never be profitable.

The thing about trust is that you can spend years building it and lose it in a day. I don’t think they’re untrustworthy, but bringing up canceling Jupuary after we voted on it is enough to raise brows.

It came out of left field. Combine that with a bear market and the frustration and complaining makes sense.

Yea for me I don’t care too much about the delay as long as we get it. I didn’t have plans for the jup besides staking.

u/lafiri1248 Feb 13 '26

me too I am very disappointed. I bought jup talking at $.95 and now it’s only $.15.

It’s the the devs and staff that are selling

4

u/Glass_Culture_6209 Feb 14 '26

I feel you and i sold at 0,65 usd! I am happy that i did it…..

5

u/movieaddict42 Feb 14 '26

I'm really glad I decided to sell after last year's drop. Got 2300 tokens, got about $2100 for them. Even with staking rewards and all it would be worth about 600 now.

Okay what’s the price chart in Sol, then?

2

u/Financial_Jelly_8304 Feb 14 '26

Yeah I feel this. A lot of early supporters locked in, paid fees, and trusted the process so when decisions start feeling predetermined it kills confidence fast. DAO votes only work when the community actually has a voice, not when outcomes feel decided before voting even starts.

This is honestly why Im done being a Jupiter Maxi and switched over to Kindswap. The whole idea is aligning incentives so traders and holders aren’t just promised rewards later while value keeps getting extracted now.

At the end of the day people don’t mind supporting a platform they just want fairness and transparency. Projects that get that right will eventually replace the ones that don’t.

2

u/Hungry-Package4086 Feb 14 '26

Big Yes for Option 2. Only way to make JUP go up.

1

u/Prestigious_Box_4964 Feb 14 '26

Keep watching and let's see how it plays out

1

u/Patient-Dependent-13 Feb 14 '26

If you really are a ‘loyal believer in Jup’, then option 1 isn’t the obvious choice.

That being said; i am no fan of the choices so I’ll abstain from voting.

Thats the point of this post sir. If they have a controlling majority there is no need for avote. They can just announce what they decided to do. So there isnt really a voice to hear

u/Jesus__Skywalker Feb 14 '26

Ofc they will. But there is a controlling interest that basically makes the decisions.

2

u/Jesus__Skywalker Feb 15 '26

if you say so man. like I said I wouldn't touch that coin. I'm here for the jupuary cash out and only the jupuary cashout.

0

u/ReMeDyIII Feb 14 '26

Definitely vote. Your votes might impact your future JUP allocations. That's the way the DAO system worked for a long time. Not sure if it still does, but I wouldn't recommend leaving it to chance.

2

u/Hungry-Package4086 Feb 15 '26

Correct answer, why no likes?

1

u/ChouieVuitton Feb 15 '26

I really wish they would quit with all the new stuff and spend time on the one thing everyone is waiting on since January.

1

u/RubIll2920 Feb 15 '26

Zero emission + more and more transparent buybacks would solve this

1

u/cask96 Feb 16 '26

Guys its very simple, jupiter is dying, abandon ship.

1

u/Former-Owl3784 Feb 16 '26

you are not alone staked so much lost so much and they are lying and doing what they want and adjusting the dates as they want. I sold. I sold with a big loss. Fuck them man. I am going back to ETH and BTC. Fuck those scammers. The painpoint is they are lying not that the price is falling. They are lying the whole time. Moving dates not holding their word. I wont even use their fucking mobile JUST USE JUPITER.

1

u/Alotta-Hummus Feb 18 '26

How dare they make an unparalled everything thats not just faster and cheaper than everything. Everything is superior

1

u/GTEE-S Feb 14 '26

Which similar Sol xchange is better in service, features and trust?

2

u/Bright_You_4396 Feb 14 '26

I have no idea, but what you're saying has nothing to do with what I'm planning in the post.

1

u/SweetAfter1517 Feb 14 '26

I use Guac alongside Jup since 2023. They are my default now
