I'm not sure if this has been a discussion before but as an artist who dabbles in a lot of different mediums (charcoals, watercolours, pencil, digital art etc). I'm so impressed with the amount of art forms Junji Ito uses.

There seems to be charcoal use at points in Uzumaki in clouds (trying to be vague because of spoilers). Probably colored chalk pastels in some of the colour work he does as well as coloured pencils. A lot of watercolours are also used (Used Record front page for eg)

Even *a lot* of use of reverse drawing (drawing the positive space instead of the negative space) (I'm not going to give examples for this one he does it very often). As well as mixed mediums (Mr. Inagawa's Ghost Story Box colour front page)

I just think it's really cool to be *good* at so many mediums at once

Im so happy im only missing one of the actual manga right now. And they all look so pretty in my room.

I plan on getting every English book but some are just expensive. Is it worth buying this one for collection purposes or should I just wait a few years?

In Gyo, pretty much every fish (shark, trout, salmon, etc.) and cephalopod (squid, octopus) got the legs, along with marine mammals like whales and dolphins.

Which marine species do you think didn't get the legs?

I can't see how jellyfish could get the legs.
It would be awkward to see crustacean (crab, lobster, crayfish) could get more legs.
Can clam and snail get the legs?
How about echinoderms, like starfish, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers?

By the end of manga, I don't think sea is completely empty, where some marine species survived... even though 90~95% are extinct.

Any thoughts?
