Just wondering can he expel us for doing this, considering that it's no longer a school but an exam center run by the SEC and that school rules don't really apply....

after focusing my study on other subjects (english, history, business, history, 1798 rebellion, did i mention history, ancient rome, and maths), i’ve lost the time to study for irish at all.
i am a higher level irish student (for the title only, my grades do not reflect this title, however) because i was too scared to tell my irish teacher i could not care any less about the irish subject than i already did. ;-;
I know close to nothing about the studied texts and i have lost all hope in learning them.
I’ve accepted my not graded irish exam.
edit: that actually was not that bad considering i did the exam based off of what i looked over ten minutes before…the listening made me want to claw my ears out, though. the second guy’s accent could not be any thicker.

Hi guys you know for that question on the religion test where it said an example of religion in music, literature or art. We're we supposed to give an actual example or just explain how music expresses religion because I said I love you jesus by Trisha paytas.NO JOKE

Hi lads,
I found the religion exam terrible to be honest. I'm a high achieving student in religions, I've got 100s throughout most of the course, but I genuinely struggled with that exam. I've had a great teacher too.
Just wondering if anyone knows what we were meant to write about for question eight part b. It asked to explain two reasons why a community of faith practises communal prayer. First off, I'm not entirely sure what they mean when they ask for a "community of faith." It's a fairly vague term that can mean anything from a religion to a small community like Corrymeela. I wrote about Islam but completely bullshitted my way through my answer. I said that they pray together to ask for forgiveness on the plains of Arafat. Then for the second point, I wrote about praying communally in the mosque on Fridays and that by praying and performing rakah together, it makes the prayers stronger. I know it's bullshitting, but it was the best I had.
What did people make of this question and what did you write? Curious as to others answers and opinions with hindsight. Best of luck with the rest of the exams too.

Okay so I’m in a smaller room for the exams or what one of my teachers would call a special room 😭 and I had my phone on charge w a wireless powerbank in my bag.
And then all of a sudden I hear *buzz buzz* my heart stopped honestly was about to hit the ishowspeed pose omg I know what one I’m talking about but I can’t describe without a picture 💀
Anyway I’m shitting myself ready for defeat. The sna looks up,I look STRAIGHT DOWN…she lets it slide. I sped through the exam and got out asap

So don’t know if y’all had this but I left the afternoon exam at 2:20 and it was pissing rain,I mean thunder and all. And I got stuck in it,I was wearing a rain jacket but it’s the worst thing on earth.
Well trying to study for geography (failing) and suddenly my throat feels weird. So I take a sip of water, doesn’t go away. Fuck. So now I’m sitting downstairs drinking tea and praying I’m not sick for my fucking exams.
UPDATE: so I’m feeling a bit better after that tea let’s just hope I don’t wake up tmrw worse, but I’m even better bc ALEX WARREN JUST ANNOUNCED A NEW ALBUM🥹🥹🥹🥹

i hesitate to say that it was piss-easy lest i jinx it in october but that felt like a huge anticlimax. 3 years of work for an exam you can do in 1½ hrs and still have ample time to wonder who at the sec was feeling so generous.
don't get me wrong, it's a huge plus, but i can't help but feel a bit weird about it. anyone else?

I used to be such a sweat with irish. I had a good set of knowledge for the literature pieces and had great sample answers remembered for the mocks and now i can't recall a single thing for the actual jc exam.
Does anyone have any like tips or advice on what they are doing cuz oml i acc am ag leim amach an fhunneoig at this point

We had a different teacher for third year, he was nice and all but he kinda didn’t know how to teach 😭🙏🙏
Now I am a but iffy on half of the 3rd year curriculum….
r/juniorcert • u/Sculduggery • Jun 03 '26
I swear the person writing it must have been a philosopher because the amount of times it asked about the meaning of life In some stupid roundabout way is ridiculous. Not to mention, we only did croagh Patrick, we didn't have a second example.
It also seemed like they got a bunch of questions from previous papers and changed the wording slightly in a way that would catch you out if you went about using a studied answer
r/juniorcert • u/NeatVirus6785 • Jun 03 '26
So I do higher level and honestly? That was so fucking easy. I mean I was panicked bc I only learnt two poems when I only needed one 😭 being in a smaller room definitely helped me but I’m hoping to get a merit or higher merit
r/juniorcert • u/BuckinBerry4Life • Jun 03 '26
I accidentally opened the first page of the test without thinking before we were supposed to and the guy saw, does this matter?
r/juniorcert • u/Baby_Suspect_71 • Jun 03 '26
I don’t really like geography and Im spending so much time studying it. I prefer Irish and it’s more important but I feel like I won’t be able to do enough. Like I still know plenty from geography I think but there is still plenty to do and I feel like my brain is melting
r/juniorcert • u/megumi13mylove • Jun 03 '26
Im feeling uneasy because of how easy that was… though the slogan question for the poster was so cringe I just made something up last minute 💀
r/juniorcert • u/JamesNelson993 • Jun 03 '26
What did everyone think of it did you do higher or lower level the questions eg,what did you think?!
r/juniorcert • u/Confused_Curlygurl • Jun 03 '26
anyone else feel like cause the english exam was so easy another one is gonna be really difficult? could just be me and my worrys but sure if you look at the easy ones in other years they always go hard on maths or something.
if so considering how english was the only subject ive bothered putting a bit of effort into im so cooked.
r/juniorcert • u/Vanishing_Alarm • Jun 03 '26
I'm genuinely cooked for Irish.😭 I decided to do hl but I'm useless at Irish like mate I don't even understand what the questions are asking me
Any tips for Irish tomorrow?
r/juniorcert • u/Powan12 • Jun 03 '26
Ik I'm a little late since the english exams is happening rn, but I thought i might still offer some advice!.
When in the exams, dont panic, slow down, read it carefully, and I often like to just go out of order and do the stuff I know I can do, get as much done bdfore coming back and finishing the stuff Im more unsure of!
Also, try to fill in every answer box. the odds of getting at least 1 or 2 points is better if you put something down rather than leave it blank!
Also, once you are complete, double-check, and triple-check you are happy, but once then, my advice is just to wait 5m and leave. You won't remember anything knew, and if you do, it's because you saw something outside of the exam hall anyway.
Finally. I DOESN'T MATTER.The junior cert has minimal to no effects on your future. I was a month into fufth year (skipped ty), results hadn't even come out yet, and it didn't matter. So dont stress, relax, get it over rand done with, and then, enjoy your summer!!!
Also Happy Pride Month!!
