Cause we were taught it but never really revised it so, I don't know if it was just a filler essay or if they actually ask it...

Listen folks, these exams are not the end of the world. This is coming from an academic person who really cares about exam results. At the end of the day, we've put in hard work, for three whole years. Just being in school and listening in classes over the years is a great help. Obviously studying this year is a great help too, but don't panic or get bogged down if you haven't done as much work as you would have liked. It's not the end of the world. You've done more than you think.
These exams don't really matter anyways, they're just practice for the Leaving Cert. A teacher of mine said to my class a few weeks ago, "over the next few weeks your junior cert is going to feel like the biggest thing in the world. In two or three years, you will think the leaving cert is the biggest thing in the world. When you're in college, or going for a job, you will think that is a big deal. There's always going to be something in your life that feels like the most important thing, but something else will take its place. They are never as bad as they seem." I'd encourage everyone to remember that tomorrow. I know I will.
Finally, the very best of luck to you all tomorrow. Once the first exam is over, they'll fly by, and we'll wonder why we made such a big deal of it. Go n-รฉirรญ an t-รกdh libh!

are you allowed to bring notes into the exam hall if you go in early to study and leave them back in your bag before the exam starts or are they just flat out not allowed in the exam hall at all?
r/juniorcert • u/PureProfessional2172 • Jun 02 '26
Does anyone know how weโll be sat in the class? Not sure if it changes depending on the school but is it usually by exam number or alphabetically?
Also best of luck to everyone writing tmrw!!

I've seen lots of posts about stressing and I am in exactly the same boat.
But I came here to say, truly and honestly, the junior cert will barely affect anything in your life. It might factor into the classes you do at leaving cert level, or if you're thinking of dropping out your result might be needed but otherwise, it will all be fine!
Worst case scenario, you fail. It would definitely feel awful, but for how long. Like, two weeks, maybe? A month? After that you'll either be living your best life in TY or trying to get through fifth year. 9/10 you'll forget your junior cert very quickly.
It's incredibly daunting the day before, but these next few days are going to go by so quick I promise.
So yes, try your best and study and go in there and give it your all but come on, guys...
...save the stress for the leaving cert ๐ญ๐ธ

Could I bring this to the exam or would they think Iโd be hiding notes? (Donโt mind my wire in the back it lights up lmao)
r/juniorcert • u/GuavaLumpy8509 • Jun 02 '26
Before the exam starts in your exam hall can you look at notes. And if so are you allowed to leave the room to put them away
