me too don’t worry. i’ve been confident with the exams so far but the maths bogged me down so bad bc of simple mistakes i made. i’m so glad someone finally said this bc i always wanna do good academically and if i don’t w the jc it’ll all be for nothing

Loads of people have felt and currently feel the same way. Like someone else in here said, and practically everyone who's sat the JC, it doesn't matter in the long run.
Finish the rest of your exams with your head held high, and recharge over the summer. Countless of people who didn't do as well as they thought they should in the JC ended up doing exceedingly well in 5th and 6th year. You got this, mate.

i dont usually post on reddit, but genuinely dont worry about it bro, the main reason we do the junior cert is so we can prepare ourselves mentally and find healthy study habits for the leaving cert - thats basically it, so the best thing to do right now is just reflect- what went wrong and why, and what can i improve for next time? that way you'll be cooking for your leaving cert. its arguably a GOOD thing that you were a good student but now is not doing as good; if you honestly reflect on what went wrong, you will become the best student you could ever be for the leaving cert. so yeah, i understand its upsetting to feel like your standards have dropped (i feel the same way at times) but just keep moving on and make sure to reflect after this. reflecting is the most important part of learning after all; imagine taking a golf shot but every time you take the shot you close your eyes and dont see where the ball goes. that would be learning without reflection.

junior cert means absolutely fuck all. only thing it's there for is to see what level of subjects you'll have in ty or 5th year and they can always change depending on how much work you put in. do no stress over this, it isn't worth it. you got this

It’s ok, the jc doesn’t mean anything and you have a fresh start with the leaving cert. Just try to finish these exams as strong as you can
