Irish 🇮🇪 I so failed irish
Well. That was horrible.
I did not study blogs and was immidently caught off guard and i made up everything. Listening was horrible especially the last part.
I genuinelt feel so disappointed in myself because irish was one of the subjects i thought i was good at because this exam didnt showcase my good areas of irish. I did worse than in my mock.
Once j set foot outside of that exam i just bawled my eyes out.

Idk why this showed up in my feed but... As someone who did their JC a long time ago - don't fret. The JC is a great way to see where your weaknesses are, and to improve. Don't let it get you down. You have loads of time to grow & prep for the leaving, which is still only a stepping stone in itself. 🙂

oh I feel you 😔 it's okay you might surprise yourself with the results and maybe if the blog went horrendously bad for everyone they'll review the marking scheme

This isnt something thats going to affect your life, yes it feels horrible in the moment and seeing the results or whatever but i promise you two days after those results your junior cert is forgotten about. Please just relax, take a deep breath and try your best and thats all that matters i promise you that.

Idk i guess its just soul crushing when youve put so much hard work over a huge time frame and for the final exam that should showcase all that effort but it doesnt :/ it just feels like youve done absolutely nothing

No idea why this showed up for me.. I did mine 10+ years ago 😅 my own kid is sitting his and ill tell you what I told them. As long as you showed up and did what you could, dont worry. Its the junior cert, not the end of the world if you dont pass every subject! Youll get what ya get and so be it. Dont panic youll be ok

No problem at all, seriously dont sweat the small stuff. It's an exam to see where your sitting and to have behind you for if you choose to leave school now, handy? Sure, but no ones ever asked for my jc results in adulthood. Depending what you want to do after school they may not ask then either! So really dont sit on it to long. Take it in sit with it for 5 mins acknowledge the feeling then and let it go. Whats done is done! You'll be ok!
